Medford would be cool if he is the one. I have always liked his game.

Abreu is under contract and will not be let out to 'try out' for an MLS team at a bargain basement price.

    I'm thinking Costa Rica too

    Meford?
    Rolando Fonseca?
    William Sunsing?

Claymore, what's wrong with bringing in a hired gun for the rest of the season? The problem would be if DCU made a move that would hinder them for next season in order to do this.

So far all the moves (i.e. Namoff to Richmond, the release of Ludwig) arguably do not effect or improve DCU's prospects for next year.

This is an appropriate phrase when dealing with Medford, as he is a fat cow.

I think we're on the wrong track here...

Remember, we haven't seen him in a while, and he'd be willing to do Ray a favor...

    Nene Cubillas

or maybe somebody with the paperwork already in place to work in this country...

Juergen Klinsmann, he's already got the jersey

Isn't Sunsing still technically property of the Revs?

IIRC, MLS loaned him to Heredia for the 2002 season so he could make the CR Wold Cup team in hopes someone would spot him and come in for a transfer.

I don't have a problem with bringing in a hired gun, but Ray has already said that this mystery player isn't likely to be the answer to our problems up front - i.e., the killer striker we need. If whoever he brings in is not going to solve that problem, we're wasting our time.

No, I think it's just that Ray realizes that the team will not be able to get the real answer right now. This new guy is just a band-aid that might work. The team is desperate for something, and they're reaching. Just like when Roy came back. It's along the lines of "well, it can't really hurt"

Any improvement at this stage is a good improvement.

Sunsing...........there is another good possibility. He fits the profile better than Medford. He is 25 so he is an SI and because he has played here his paperwok might go quicker than normal.

    Hmmmmmmmmmm?????

When Ben Olsen rips the rubber alien mask off of Dave Kaspar, who was trying to scare the young United players off of the practice field in order to fulfill Ray Hudson's dream of fielding the first over 30 team in MLS history.

DK then exclaims "I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you meddling kids!"

I heard that Chiesa was going to Blackburn so I guess he is out. What about:

Roque Santa Cruz from Bayern Munich

Perhaps Hudson feels Conteh owes him a favor for letting him miss the debacle of the last few months.

Or it's Matheaus. He hasn't been here in a while.

Gerd Mueller, DFB did well at the Cup, and while he can finish he'll need help setting the table...
