No Bears, No Sox, No Cubbies, No Bulls, No Hawks, No Excuses!!!!

The Fire will draw at least 15,000 for the big playoff game!!!!

My original guesses were around 12K, now with the weather and with the fact that I was probably too high on my guess to begin with, I'm going with 9,500.

Based upon the weather I would have guessed 11K. But according to ticketmaster not much is left. So I would say it is going to be a good crowd. If people actually come out. 17K is my prediction.

I would be very excited if we had a nice crowd. I've just been assuming it would 9-10k.

Looks like the rain has stopped. Maybe tailgating is in the picture after all.

    Today in the Trib:

    A high of 43.

A wet chilling start...gradually gets worse as northwest winds strengthen while temps and wind chills fall this morning. Rain diminishes, but as it turns colder, fine raindrops will mix with wet snow, probably changing to all wet snow showers by late morning.

    Announced attendance: 15,037
    Actual attendance: 11,548

With a huge walk up crowd will sellout 20,000! (That's me dreaming)

What we will get is 9,200

"not much is left" I based my 14,000 prediction on this statement, why did I ever listen to you? 6,000 something was actual attendance worse than open cups. Lousy cold weather and lets face it only die hard fans were at the game.Soccer needs more time to sell to groups than one week.Would it have been less if the bears had played at the same time?

I thought they announced 6,000 at the stadium but mlsnet does show 10,217 which is the biggest joke of all attendance announcements.

They announced the 10,XXX number to the crowd at the game. I thought it looked like about 8,000, but whatever. It was a very exciting game, and the fans in attendance were extremely into the match.

More amazing was that I combined the date and the score. (As a guess)

    I should have bought a 50:50 raffle.

Instead, my son walked back to the car with the silent auction Fire/Sting Thiago jersey!

    Fan Addict,
At 2am this morning I was seeing what was available, I had insomnia last night. The best tickets off of ticket master were 108 row 10. Usually, you can get first five rows for any game. For the cheaper seats the best you could get were row 20. Based upon the attendance today, my question is why were those the best seats available/

Although the crowd was good, the numbers were pathetic.

    Chi - ca - go!
    The most telling aspect:
    Section 8 was full.

    You know who loves you.

From the shots on the TV, I saw more people on the west side than there were for the Open Cup Final, so I thought 10K was an accurate number

Kudos to Section 8 for packing 118

I watched on TV and was disappointed by the empty seats but, as always, impressed by the incidental audio and the shots of Section 8. The "Chi-Ca-Go" chant was very audible. A big 'Attaboy' to all who were there.

Do we have to go over this every time?

They announce how many tickets are OUT, not how many people actually show up. It's not a joke. Maybe if we could get more than 75% of the people to actually show up....

How did it look on tv?

if we could only clone you Section 8ers then this league would do fine. Great work and awesome chants

the "We Love you Fire nanananna" chant is great.
