never seen him play... thank god for him, today though... scholl has been one of my favorite players in the recent past... he will be missed when he retires... but im looking for a summar on guererro from people whove seen him play... whats he like? is he technically superior to pizarro or is he the type whos got that instinct to be in the right place at the right time? (like makaay, kinda)
Hmmmm.....it's difficult to say. He is neither of that, I didn't see him yet doing tricks or making long dribblings. His biggest strenght is probably that he doesn't show nerves in front of the goal, a bit like Makaay. And his stats are great: 3 Bundesliga apperances, 3x times a subsitute, ca. 100 Bundesliga minutes, 3 goals, 1 assist.
And he has some killer cornrows! Hell, I don't care if he stood around all game and looked useless... as long as he keeps those stats going, that's all that matters!! Now if King Roy could re-open his scoring account for good, that would be deadly!
I've seen him play a few times for the amateurs and recently the first team. I made a comment about him a few months ago from watching him with the amateurs, he has an ability to be at the right place at the right time. He has some good technique and ball control, doesn't really show off his skills but watching how he controls the ball gives for example, his no look pass to Makaay earlier in the week to score proves he has some real talent.
Yeah if he is scoring goals, play him! He has given more production of late than a lot more highly paid and notable strikers for Bayern. Who needs Santa Cruz if Guererro keeps scoring? Send him to the MLS
My Fire boys could use a finisher next to Damani Ralph... unless you count Razov as a useful worth-while spot on the roster. "Hey, Ante, take another six touches on the ball". You know that beeping sound a truck makes when it backs up? Well, that is exactly what happens when the ball is on Razov right-foot (*beep*... *beep*... *beep*... incoming to left foot... incoming to left foot). I've seen milk turn faster!
Super Paolo!!! just wanted to tell you that guerrero scored for peru in the wcq match against arch rivals chile tonight he came in for claudio pizarro in the second half and scored peru's second goal in the minute 85 peru won 2-1 the other goal scored by jefferson farfan we love you paolo we love you...
Re: Super Paolo!!! Do you think Guerrero is better than Pizarro???? I know he is more talented but is he better now??
Re: Super Paolo!!! Stats don't lie my friend. Getting results at the level those boys play at is all that matters. Simply put... JPG is getting them, Pizarro is not. HOWEVER, let me further add that Pizarro is not 100% yet from his injury recovery, AND I think that the substitution of JPG later in the second half is brilliant... Claudio can work his defenders over, then hand them this dynamo of a forward we know as Jose Pablo Guerraro. They must be like "thanks alot, dude" as a finger extends in the air.
Re: Super Paolo!!! Piza has been scoring a lot though recently, hasn't he? He's certainly been more effective than Makaay in recent weeks. But JPG is on fire. I wonder what's going through the collective heads of Bayern management?
Re: Super Paolo!!! I would say they are thinking that we must finally be in a nice situation... all three can produce and at the moment it is Guerraro. Piza has done his share and Makaay has been the man for so long. Roy will be back... JPG is probably a welcome break for Roy as he has the pressure of scoring to share. I say if we can find that fourth striker we are a gold.
Pizza was outstanding today, he's a much wider running striker than any other one which is important to make the opponent's defence shaky and can't be focused for a long run Also, Pizza is better than Guerrero in long shot, that's the devastating weapon in some difficult match. Anyway i agree Guerrero should be rotated to replace Makaay or Pizza and gain more match experience, he could perfect his skill and become one of the greats , hell know he can become as great as Shevchenko Regarding Hashermian, it's time for him to go back to Bochum. We should keep Santa cruz though, he would be our great asset. The reason why he didn't perform well is because last term he was used in the wrong position, most of the time being played in the RM and Hitfield couldn't find the right formation and tactics for his team. I reckon he will become great again when he return. Italian teams please keep your damn hands off him, ok
lol, anybody feel our predatory striker actually resembles (very closely) the 'Predator' from the movies? ;-)
Haha yes actually, but this is when he had cornrows. Seems he changes his hairstyle every week, now its sort of an afro.
