This article has some good insight on how the Primera "B" in Chile is shaping up, in case you guys were wondering about López Campollo's chances of playing in Primera "A". http://www.prensafutbol.cl/futbol-c...b-tendra-cinco-fechas-finales-de-infarto.html i agree with u Dre, i mean he's just bench warming, as jonas puts it F*k that. Ojala y regrese a jugar con los huequitos i mean los rojitas Pando's MLS Cup winning goal voted #6 best moment in MLS Cup History: http://www.mlssoccer.com/mls-cup-moments/news/article/2011/11/14/top-50-mls-cup-moments-6-kung-fu-pando ^ Certainly his most clutch goal, and he's had many. Pretty sure it was on ESPN's top plays back then. Having given the Galaxy the title, one of the most important goals ever scored by a Guatemalan player at club level. Without Guatemalan's, the Galaxy would have ZERO championships! Carlos Ruiz's 2002 MLS Cup winning goal chosen #2 best moment in MLS Cup history. Damn right!!! Galaxy are NOTHING without us Chapines 2002 - MLS Cup 2002 - LA Galaxy vs New England Revolution - YouTube 2005 - MLS Cup 2005 - LA Galaxy vs New England - YouTube I watched the game last night and was so happy to see the Galaxy win a championship at home. López Campollo's Naval were the second best team overall in the Primera B this year. That means that they will have to playoff against someone (sorry: I don't seem to understand the system) in order to get promoted. http://www.cooperativa.cl/everton-s...l-ascenso/prontus_nots/2011-11-20/135332.html Ruiz had a goal and an assist this weekend in Veracruz' final game of the season. I'm watching Pezarossi and Deportivo La Serena vs. Universidad Catolica on channel 437 directv (in L.A.) Pezza has been active although his team is down 1-0. GOOOOOOOL Pezzarossi! Pezza ties it up with a header! Awesome. Welp, Pezza got subbed out, his club is losing 2-1 now, but the man did his part, scoring his 4th goal of the season. Here is a link to el tanques gol 4 GOL DEL TORNEO DE DWIGHT PEZZAROSSI EN CHILE, ANTE U. CATOLICA. - YouTube López Campollo's Naval will be playing off for the right to be promoted against my beloved Santiago Wanderers. First game is next Sunday at 10 ET. Thanks for the info, definitely want to watch that game. Obviously just a rumor, but at least its something. http://www.lared.com.gt/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3082&catid=44 Dunno if it will be on as the game is supposed to start a bit early (10 EST) but relegation/promotion playoffs have been shown on TVChile before, like in 2009 where my Wanderers indeed played. That being said, I listen to all my team's games on RadioValparaíso: www.radiovalparaiso.cl and I am certain it will be broadcast on it. Alternatively, if the game is shown in Chile but not on TVChile here, you should be able to find it a stream for it, specially on a website like RojaDirecta. Here's a report from a Dutch newspaper stating that FC Twente intend on acquiring Marco Pappa if their attempt to sign Serbian midfielder Dusan Tadic falls through. Supposedly, Dusan and Marco are very similar players. Dusan already plays in Dutch top flight, but his value is about twice as much as Pappa's asking price which is around 1.2 million Euros. Here's the article: http://www.telegraaf.nl/telesport/v...__Twente_wil_Tadic_en_Pappa__.html?sn=voetbal Rough translation from google: Avila too Houston Dynamo? http://lared.com.gt/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3082&catid=44 Also found this regarding Pappa on the mls website. http://www.mlssoccer.com/es/news/article/2011/11/28/webeando-fútbol-¿pappa-holanda
According to the Coach of Chicago Fire Frank Klopas, the rumors about Pappa going to Twente aren't true. “I have not had any contact from Twente,” Klopas said. “Ourselves, as a club, have not [had contact], and from a league standpoint, we have not [had contact]. There are just a lot of rumors out there, that’s just how soccer is.” http://www.chicago-fire.com/news/2011/11/fire-notebook
we've mentioned this before lads, we need to wait until either Pappa himself or prensalibre or Fedefut or me give the green light. Lared sometimes is not reliable
Looks like Chicago Fires coach is going on a two week trip to Europe to scout for a striker. Maybe hes going to Europe to discuss Pappa with Twente and look for Pappa's replacement. The coach is supposedly going to visit Atletico Madrid to build a relationship. Who knows maybe Pappa will go to Atletico Madrid. Just and idea.lol http://www.chicago-fire.com/news/2011/12/klopas-seeks-striker-european-scouting-trip

If Pezza keeps this type of form, he has to start in the WCQ games next Summer. http://youtu.be/HbXSE4IYjZo?t=2m35s
Pando may be playing for Marathon next year? http://guatefutbol.com/index.php/noticias/liga-nacional/heredia/11410-quiere-regresar-a-honduras-
I think el Pando's time has passed already, sure he might have great shots but if he's out of shape, then he's pretty much screw cause in Honduras is a faster game, thats why he couldnt adapt with Olimpia.
Even though his shot did set Bengtson up for a goal in a game that went on to finish 3-1 for Motagua and gave them the Honduran crown over Olimpia
Nacho won't be the only one staying in Chile, Contreras will be staying with la Universidad De Concepción for 6 more months. http://lared.com.gt/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=3363&catid=44
This is not a rumor so thats y i'm posting this one here Jonathan Lopez will be going to Europe in 2012 with a Czech team, everything is finalised, signing papers and everything, i heard it today on the radio from the own's President's of Marquenze team that he plays with in Guatemala. http://noticiasdelvalle.com/futbol/21-dep-marquense/2002-jonathan-lopez-podria-jugar-en-europa Also from the canteras of San Marcos a 17yr old Medina will be heading to Uruguay aswell.
The last time we exported players to Europe directly from the Guatemalan league was Luis Swisher to the Polish 1st Division and Dwight Pezzarossi to Numancia in Spain. Israel Silva doesn't count since he's still Brazilian and Damian Macaluso (Uruguayan) went to Nancy of the French 1st Division. Correct me if I'm missing anyone.
Marvin Avila's agent is shopping him to Naval de Chile. http://www.guatefutbol.com/index.php/news/13-featured-news/11586-lo-ofrecen-a-naval Let's just get as many Chapines playing in Chile as possible.
