Guatemala needs a new stadium!!!

I was recently looking at some pictures of stadiums in Guatemala and even though we have a good amount most are small and take less than 20,000. I think its time for Guatemala to build at least one stadium with a capacity of 50,000 or more. I think Guatemala can do this, and our league deserves it.

i just came back from Guatemala like 2 weeks ago and i heard there building a new stadium of a capacity of 20-25 thousand but they do need a new stadium of 50 thousand plus.they have the money to do it and hoping they do it.

La Pedrera has plenty of room for that, right now is a 15,000 plus stadium, and can easily be upgrade it.

Yeah it can be upgraded to 25,000 or more as most stadiums in Guatemala. El Estadio del Ejercito should be upgraded to, its a nice looking stadium. Xelajus stadium is getting a renovation and will take 15,000 when done.

I remember that night, maybe it was the saddest day in concacaf's history.

it was a very very sad night.the capacity of mateo flores is around 30 thousand people.

The capacity before the accident was 50,000 but now because of safety issues its 30,000.

Heres El Estadio Del Ejercito, its said to hold 13,000 but I think its more like 17,000.

I like the steepness of the stands in "El Estadio Del Ejercito". It also appears that the first row is very close to the action.

I hope that there is a new stadium built in Guatemala. The sightlines at Mateo Flores are terrible if you are in the first 10 rows.

I think that 50,000 is way too much though. It would only sell out when la sele is playing well and there isn't a club in Guate that would ever come close to selling out.
Last year MF was a little more than half full for el Clasico. I doubt that Municipal gets more than 8,000 for anyother game.

I my opinion a modern 35k capacity stadium would be ideal.
