Well i think is good what Almeida is doing in wanting to play caribbean teams right now. Remember lads we've always had problems with Trinidad & Tobago and Jamaica. So hell yea lets play them and expose our younger players to their style of playing. We will have time to play other teams from SA and Asia

 

I agree with both sides. Yes, Iraq is a great team and will give us a great game to see what needs to be worked on. But you have to remember the travel takes a toll on our guys. If they left 2 weeks before they'd have plenty of time to get acclamated. But to arrive only a few days before sucks, it takes almost a week to fully get over jet lag.

Guti is right caribbean teams like T&T and Jamaica have gotten the better of us the past few times we've played them. Jamaica is all speed with good talent, and T&T have just been the thorn in our sides since 06. A local game against either of these teams with weeks of work would be great.

Then maybe head to Iraq in November? As long as we keep working on getting better the opportunities will come.

 

Well i got the scoop from some of the Guatemalan players of how much the Federation got paid for the friendlies. You will only get this info. from me. For Japan, our Fed. got paid $75k with all expenses paid, first class trip. For friendlies here was around $20k. So our Fed. got some cash not much but hopefully they'll put it in good use and wont steal it. Cause from what i saw. Our sele that came here to play in DC. They only gave our Sele 7 soccer balls and all of different make and each player only received one pair of shorts and shirts to train. That i think is embarrassing that our Fed. cannot provide some decent soccer balls at least to match. I hope our Fed. changes its ways. Ojala que el nuevo presidente de la Federacion no se este hueviando el dinero.;

Too bad, i think it would of been a good game. But maybe down the line we could play them.
