Esta es la probable alineación de Guatemala para enfrentar mañana a Jamaica, en su debut en el grupo “C” de la Copa de Oro:

    Luis Pedro Molina

    Pablo Melgar
    Gustavo Cabrera
    Gonzalo Romero
    Freddy Thompson
    Guillermo Ramírez
    Carlos Figueroa o Elmer Ponciano
    Edwin Villatoro
    Carlos Ruiz.
primi might try out A 3-5-2 , he says that might fit there style of play
Note:pezzarossi will not play the GC slightly reinjured himslef and wants to be available fo WCQ

    Here is jamaica

    Donvan Ricketts

What's the current Spanish speaking v. English speaking teams tally?

Costa Rica (ES) defeat Canada (EN)
United States (EN) defeats Cuba (ES)
South Africa (EN) defeats Mexico (ES)

Trinidad and Tobago (EN) ties Honduras (ES)

Can Jamaica put the English speaking countries up 3-1 over the Spanish speaking countries (with one draw)?

    2-0 Jamaica.

Damn. First goal, Shelton just overpowered the defender, Cabrera. That's the guy who RSL is looking at. Then, the Guatemala keeper kicks it into his own guy, (was it Cabrera again?) and Fuller easily scores in the open net.

    Five MLS players are starting:

Ruiz/Pando for Guatemala, and Marshall/Williams/Stephenson for Jamaica.

Penalty for Guatemala, obvious foul. Very exciting game so far.

    Ruiz to take...

    GOAL!!!

    2-1 Jamaica.

Ruiz gets a yellow for celebrating (I think).

Ruiz scores on the PK. That's something straight out of the MLS pages. :)

Then he gets carded for unsportsman behavior (kicking the ball into the goal again in celebration). Another something straight out of the MLS pages. :D

Game had settled down, but now there's a red card for Jamaica. Davis slapped Ruiz on the back of the head, LOL.

Tyrone Marshall attempts an outlet pass to Cobi Jones but can't find him on the field! :)

The Jamaica coach should just be happy if he doesn't try to pass it to Pando. ;)

The more the merrier. MLS is good for CONCACAF...but better for US of course.

This is a classic between two teams who want respect. If Trinidad or Panama gets hot at the right time, this is the World Cup for both Jamaica and Guatemala. :)

    Haha,

My kid (whose knowledge of JAM comes from Winning Eleven 6): JAM suck.

Me: Well, they are winning 3-2.

My kid: Who are they playing?

    Me: Guatemala.

My Kid: Well, they suck even worser.

    ...kids...

Still fairly early in LA - but good to see.

Also good to see Ruiz is having a banner night. Too bad he couldn't make it back from Guatamala for last Saturday's FC/SJ match.

How crazy is that? Maybe the ref thought he was trying to kick it back at the keeper.

You cannot give Reputation to the same post twice.

Damn that was funny. I'm pissed I can't watch this game.

It's now 4-2 Jamaica in the 82nd minute. Great goal by Hue in the second half.

How did I miss Damani being subbed in? He was one less fancy move away from making it 5-2 there.

Holy carp! Hat trick for Ruiz. 4-3.

What a great game. It's really too bad Jamaica missed out on the hex, they are going to use this tournament to prove themselves.
