The score thus far is: 0 - 0 GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! GO USA!!! -G P.S. = Please don't post results of other soccer (including MLS) games and other sports' games in this thread until at least 24 hours after they've ended.
This game is scheduled to be televised live on pay-per-view at 7:00pm PDT. GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! GO USA!!! -G
Also: us soccer.com says it will be on "Online pay-per-view is also being offered at ustream.tv." http://www.ussoccer.com/live/wcq-tv-faq.aspx
Quake fans should not be surprised. Fact is, Wondo has not been sharp for several weeks. The last couple of Quake games he sort of disappeared and when he had the chance, it wasn't the good finishing we come to expect from him. Reports from NAT's camp scrimmages said he was missing good opportunities to score. Scorers run hot and cold and right now he's cold. I just hope his confidence isn't in the toilet when he returns. It seemed to take him a while to recover his Mojo after the Gold Cup last year.
For SFians, Danny Coyle's (the bar on lower Haight Street) is showing the match according to the US Soccer website. It's not a big place so expect it to be packed.
i saw that fb post too. so guys, lets make this pre-game thread useful by saying where the game can be watched in SF or Oakland...even if its in a Guatamalan restaurant
That was more a reaction to the "semi-professional strikers" comment. I'm wondering who he thinks that describes acurately. Last time I checked, Dempsey, Altidore, Boyd, and Gomez are very much indeed pros.
We bought the game and will be watching in Menlo Park, near downtown Palo Alto. We do have two dogs and two cats, but non-allergic BS Earthquakes fans are welcome to join us.
I hope you're right and I'm wrong. A lot of the outcome of this match relies on who the center official is.
Hey guys, Is there any info on a place that will be showing the game? I just tried Jack's Bar and they will not be showing it also. With them and Danny Coyles out, I'm suddenly out of options. I don't mind paying cover.
Nevermind, I just learned that Danny Coyles WILL be showing the match. They guys from the Shin Gaurdian (MLS Soccer San Fran Office) paid for some of it. http://www.dannycoyles.com/sportspage.html
The pay-per-view broadcast is only in 4:3 SD (at least on DirecTV). GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! GO USA!!! -G
