Yedlin looked very good today. It really looks like he has put a lot of work into improving his crosses into the box. He had a lot of good ones today.
It's apparently H2H, but without an away goal tiebreaker. Besiktas and Galatasaray are level on this one. After that, it's goal difference.
So Galatasaray don't quite control their own destiny, unless they completely destroy their opponent next week.
They now have a chance to qualify for the Champion's League group stage (I believe they'll enter in the second round of qualifying). That's a true W. Course when you have over 20 league titles, that might not be enough.
This is correct, as of now. However (according to wikipedia), if Manchester United win the Europa League, Galatasaray will instead enter the third round of qualifying.

Interview: https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/dean...why-investing-in-san-diego-loyal-is-bigger-th “Obviously you're going to a really, completely different part of the world. But I really enjoyed the aspect of it. I think that was one of the things that kind of drove me to leave England, was just to see a different culture and kind of get out of my comfort zone again,” Yedlin said. “As far as football-wise, I was actually quite surprised by Turkey. You’ve got some very good players there, very technical players, very physical. I think the one thing that separates the Premier League – and this may be from a lot of other leagues in the world also – is just the end quality. You make a mistake and you're for sure to get punished. Not just with Turkey but with other things as well, sometimes the end quality isn't as good. So that's really the only thing that I found. But it's a great league, very competitive league, and I've had a great experience there so far.”

I saw some chatter on Twitter - Twatter? Chitter? - about Yedlin potentially coming to MLS this summer. Doesn't make much sense to me. A) He has a really good shot at playing in the UCL with Galatasaray. B) He seems to be either a starter or frequently used player there. C) Staying at a higher European club will help in his competition for minutes w/ the USMNT against the likes of Dest, Cannon, Reynolds, Robinson, etc... D) What MLS teams are going to pay DP-level money (or TAM bought-down money) for a fullback when there are usually cheaper options at that position?
I imagine there's so much that we cannot even see. Who knows what is going on. The situation with Turkish clubs is often fairly messy anyways.
Turk Gala fans fantasizing that MLS pays a gazillion bucks for him and they can rebuild the team with the money.
Fwiw, Bein lists a Galat v. Ankara at 8:30 pst "90 in 30" If it's a replay of the March game, DY started but came out at the half.

Disappointing if this report is true. Would have loved to see him play Champions League. He's probably done with the National team
The likes of Dest, Cannon, Robinson and Reynolds. His return to MLS certainly won't help him reclaim his fullback spot.
This. Also, he's getting older and he wont be able to rely on speed for too much longer. Right back has to be our strongest position on the national team for years to come
