Is there not gonna be a broadcast? We're in a helluva storm right now in DC and DirecTV is on hiatus for the next few minutes. Provided we keep power, which has gone out as well...

    Thx,

    Jay!

I never hated Beyond the Glory more than I do right now. And I even like Bernard Hopkins.

I have DirecTV and I'm here in SoCal about 20 minutes away from the HDC and I'm not getting it. It's not weather-related.

Hardly ever does it go out. Maybe 10 times in the 5 years I have had it. Better rate than the power. I remember when the cable went out once during a USMNT game. Satellite was working ok then...

    Thx,

    Jay!

I wasn't implying it was a DTV thing. I was watching the Beyond the Glory before the power hit. Just wondering if I should go back and try to watch after this MFer of a storm is over.

    Thx,

    Jay!

...I'd rather watch "Murder She Wrote" than listen to these damn wooden radio announcers.

Yes, the theme music has to go. Of course, it would go if there was actually a game to show...

OK, show me some highlights and the whole second half, and this isn't a total loss.

    Nice looking crowd.

Almost no audio. Looks like 0-0 at the half.

They talked about it on the radio broadcast, said they were just installed. The new high tech way to get more advertising dollars, it's really common in the NBA arenas.......they can rotate the ads during the game, and also use it for other messages.

They're electronic huh? They look nice. Electronic boards mean the Galaxy is movin' on up to Mexican league level. Those games often have clear, crisp ads moving on the boards.

Just got a call from a fan at the game. Said it was pretty boring, G's probably had 3 SOG's. Confirmed the 0-0 halftime score.

It also makes the stadium look even more major league. I'll bet the FO wanted to get them ready for the RM game, with this one being gravy.

Mlsnet says Galaxy had 2 shots, 1 of them on goal (that was Pando's, the announcers were going on about how at least he was improving and putting his shots on goal....)

Chivas had 7 shots, 4 of them on goal. They definitely had the better chances in the first half.
