As a Galaxy supporter I must say I find myself in an odd state as I'm completely unphased by our dismal results this weekend but at the same time totally astonished by that outstanding Chivas performance! This coming Saturday will be an absolute make or break game for not only our players but I believe some of the staff as well.

IMO, we blow this one and heads are going to friggin' roll off the chopping block!

    Possible lineups? Score predictions?......firings???

Depending on whose heads would roll, you almost give me reason to cheer for the Goats.

So, what is Doogie betting this time? Maybe if LAG win, Cue will demand Sampson's head on a platter?

Lets face it, LAG is ripe for the plucking at this point. We are going to field Kevin & The Reserve Squad against a team that is sort of coming together. This will be a true test of Sampson's coaching abilities. Can he get a point at home? We already know what he can do on the road.

Methinks we'll win but possibly not by a huge margin.

I've a feeling that LAG will step with a little more heart and intensity because of the rivalry and will want to establish whose house the Goats are in.

    -------------Overweight Fatty Boy-------------
    ---Chinchilla--Umana----Dunivant---Ilhemlu
    ------------Nagamura----Pando---
    --Cool Herc--------------------------Chisoni
    ------------Naldo----------Kiro---------------

    game ends 2-2

Chivas stunned the G's faithful with the first goal off of a 25 yard bomb from Taylor that sent the stands into a frenzy but in stoppage time of the first half Naldo evened the score with a tricky chip shot over the keeper. The referee had to momentarily stop the match in the 70th min. when smoke bombs are hurled onto the field during a Galaxy corner kick. In the 85th min Cuadros has the Galaxy stunned again when an uncontested header is launched passed what appeared to be an uninterested Hartman into the back of the net. This was set to be the game winner until that is when Naldo appeared out of nowhere in the dying seconds of stoppage time to salvage a point for the Galaxy with an absolute rocket from atleast 30 yards out!

........ok so i'm bored at work! Eat me!

This will probably be a bit closer than the last two contests, but in the end, we should win. Chivas just came off an impressive 5-1 win - but against the other worst team, RSL. Chivas is still the worst in MLS and a draw will be very dissapointing. At this point, because obviosly we can't win on the road, bad refs or not, we need to gain 3 points every home game.

I'd ask Pando to do it for you, but he would probably miss.

I don't know if Albright will be back yet, probably not, and Umana is still with Costa Rica. I guess Tyrone is injured now just to add to our frickin bad frickin luck. I hope to see Herc is the lineup again and I'd like to see Pando come out of the center, cuz he seems to play much better for Guatemala and he plays there. How long until Vagenas comes back?

I don't think there will be firings, at least I hope not.
The Gs are in a slump right now, and unless they ignite, it could possibly be a tough match for them on Saturday.

Chivas' Saturday match was a blowout, if they're able to maintain the momentum, the 3rd Clasico can go either way.

I'm just wondering how much effort they're willing to put forth, given that they will play against Madrid Monday night.

After watching the Chivas match, it had me a little worried. They seemed to have everything going their way that night. Our only saving grace is that they are in an Open Cup game on Wed over in the Carolinas somewhere. They will return tired from a midweek game and traveling. All of our injured are listed as questionable so any of them could be ready to head back in. Jovan came out for a few on Sat, did no good, but he was there. Pete could be back in as well as Albright. No way do I want to see Naldo anywhere near the field or Chisoni for that matter. He's not any good either.

A couple of weeks ago we tied RSL w/ our top squad.

If we win, I'm happy. If we lose and SSII and/or Hamilton get fired, I'm ecstatic.

I think Chivas has the momentum right now.

Besides this series is only going to get interesting once Chivas can get a win.

They win saturday, setting up the 4th meeting (2nd to last game of the year @ Chivas) with playoff postioning at stake.

Chivas might be playing to get in the playoffs.
LA might be playing to get a higher seed.
They both might be fighting for better seeds.

    You never know.

Gloomy-doomy Galaxy fans - get over yourselves. The team hasn't played badly most of the time - just lacked finishing. We've been hit hard by call-ups and injuries, and even though it's popular to blame all that on Steveo, it's not really fair.

I also think the reserve boys have had enough time to get over their jitters and will be especially ready for this match. Everyone has extra juice for a derby.

No excuses...besides, I blame Hamilton for pulling the trigger on the deal.

Galaxy VS chivASS is getting old

This supper clasico is getting too old to fast. Playing four game in one season seems ridiculous. One home and One away would fine but 2 and 2 is too much. Dont you think.

Agreed. Even the Old Firm has only three matches in the upcoming season (and, like MLS, the Scottish Premier League has only 12 teams).

Sorry, I don't see it that way.

But then my family motto has always been, "Anything worth doing is worth over-doing."
