So if this truly the new unis they went for a more latin american look. The single stripe is very latin american. the metros have a more euro look. I wonder if that is on purpose? hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm? my head hurts.

Isn't that going to be the 2nd kit (away kit)....I thought an all Green kit was going to be used for home matches?

i dont like how its gold AND orange- just stick with the gold. also, it would look 10 times better with a collar- the jersey is so similar to the barca one but the baraca one has a collar- why cant we get one????

i still think our current teal ones are better than this one. in fact, just received my teal jersey today from eurosport [and a free MLS goals video!].

Would you want to play in a shirt with a collar in Southern California? Talk about your overheating factor.

Maybe on the long sleeve version they wear when they play away in cold weather.

If you learned to love the 1996 kit (patterned after Jacob's coat of many colors) you will get used to this too.

Mixing Jacobs Ladder with Joseph's coat huh? Besides, the OG KC jerseys are more like Joseph's coat don't you think? :p

I like the jersey, if it is in fact going to look like that. But I kinda thought the home would be green and the away would be gold. I know the title of this thread says that it's the new home jersey, but is that correct?

mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I can't tell if I like it. Maybe it grows on you, but all gold with black trim would be better.

Not bad, though it'll take some time getting used to the black stripe.

Seems to jump right out at you. Might be a bit much IMO.

I also would have preferred some green (teal) on the jersey. Just my .02 cents!!

However, it's OUR new jersey & I'm sure that I'll get used to it in due time.

Remember this is my FIRST impression, based on a photo. When I see it, in person, my feelings might be different (more positive).

IIRC, every Yank fan hated the new WC '02 US kit, at least until they saw the players in them. The opinions changed rapidly after their presentation.

A 2-D picture doesn't do justice. I'm reserving judgment until the presentation.

Actually I think that's the away jersey. MLS terms them "primary" and "secondary" and I think the gold one is LA's secondary jersey, while your primary will be a dark green.

As for the stripe, I think it's like the Inter Milan away jerseys in that it's actually two stripes next to one another of equal size, the top half is green and the bottom half is black. Because the galaxy are going to dark green next season, the green and black look like one wide stripe, and that's probably why it jumps out so much.

I think the gold jersey's look good.

The primary jersey has "Galaxy" accross the front. The secondary will have "Los Angeles".

I give it a thumbs up. Like Solar9 says, it kind of grows on you, and the White away does look the best.

It's River Plate in yellow and green. Actually, I kind of like that jersey. Personally, the teal kits are ugly. Then again I'm more of a traditionalist. Ah well, ever person has their own opinion.

Okay, as long the shorts are NOT "mustard" too.

Is it going to be about $70 again? I got a family to support and not a lot of discretionary income for season's ticket and a new jersey.

Guess, I'm not included in the Doug Hamilton's group of financially committed people he keeps talking about.
