    Este grupo tendrá la ventaja de jugarse en 2 ciudades secas como Antofagasta y La Serena, así que no habrá riesgo de lluvia ni canchas en mal estado en junio en al menos 5 de los 6 partidos.

    El D.T. Gerardo Martino visitó ayer instalaciones deportivas en Viña del Mar, Valparaíso, Concón y Mantagua, ya que la selección argentina se alojaría en Viña del Mar durante la 1a fase de la Copa América.

    El estadio "Calvo y Bascuñán" de Antofagasta fue cerrado para cambiar el pasto de la cancha y hacer otras mejoras más, de tal forma que llegue en óptimas condiciones para el partido Uruguay-Jamaica.

    I expect an interesting "battle of songs" between Chileans and Argentines in La Serena and Viña, as happened in Río de Janeiro during the WC and in Mendoza during the last Copa América.:D

    It will be a Miracle for Jamaica to get even a point in this Group. Especially since they will be focusing on the Gold Cup this summer and not the Copa.

    I have reviewed the squads and I will make my final prediction before the tournament starts:

    1. Argentina: They will top this group for sure. They have almost all their key players that played in the World Cup in 2014 which got them second place. But now they also have Pereyra and Tevez who have performed amazing this season and will also play a key part in the National Team this summer. The attack force seems deadly, and the midfield is getting better. Defense is much better than it was four years ago. I think Argentina will win the whole tournament.

    2. Uruguay: Despite No Suarez, No Forlan, and No Caceres, they should manage to scrape second place, maybe on goal difference. Paraguay and Jamaica aren't that great.

    Jamaica llegó el viernes a Antofagasta.
    Jugarán un amistoso con Cobreloa a puertas cerradas este martes en la cancha del Parque Juan López de Antofagasta.

    Argentina llegó este domingo a La Serena (Tévez y Pereyra llegarán hoy lunes, y Messi y Maschearno llegarán este martes).

    Apenas se han vendido la mitad de las entradas para los 2 partidos que se jugarán en Antofagasta.

    Las selecciones de Uruguay, Paraguay y Jamaica no son lo suficientemente atractivas para el público antofagastino, los precios de las entradas son caros, y los inmigrantes uruguayos, paraguayos y jamaiquinos en Antofagasta son prácticamente inexistentes (a diferencia de colombianos, peruanos, bolivianos y ecuatorianos, que son numerosísimos en Antofagasta y todo el norte de Chile).
