My hot take is that Cape Verde will get at least a point against a slumping Saudi Arabia.

Im not sure Saudi Arabia is slumping. They've got Herve Renard back.

I mean, they got in the World Cup through the back door while being local, looked poor in the Gold Cup, in the Arab Cup weren't able to beat Morocco's D-team, had to go to ET to beat Palestine and couldn't beat Jordan. And this March they got crushed by Egypt and lost to Serbia. If they're not slumping, they are really bad.

And BTW, they fired Renard. They hired Gerogios Donis instead.

I dont really see that as a hot take to be honest. Cape Verde may even win.

You're posting fake squads bro. This one and the England one. Lots of fake AI stuff out there. Check them with a reliable source. Spain released there preliminary squad today.

Sounds like now that Spain intends to rest Yamal for the first two matches in addition to their 2 pre-WC friendlies.

The way his return keeps getting pushed back makes me wonder if he'll play in this WC at all.

It makes sense though. Do they really need him to beat Cape Verde and Saudi Arabia? If they have long term intentions why not rest him and gradually bring him on as a sub.

I see the logic behind this, but at the same time if he's been out so long he cannot just go from 0 minutes to the starting XI.
With this timeline, it seems at best he starts in round of 16

Man, both ESP and URU will get to sleepwalk into R32 with this group.

Based at Cancun with commuter flights to Miami to face mighty KSA and fearless CPV. No other Group of Life tops this one.

Saudi Arabia can fluctuate a lot too.

They can be ok at times, or they can be really poor.

I think they are better than Saudi Arabia.
I think they are trending down big time. An easy bottom five team of this WC to me.
