Balogun struggled today, he was being way overrated after Paraguay game.

That’s disappointing, would have been a good game without that mistake in the first five minutes

Balogun did everything for us BUT score a goal. If you can't see how much he brought to the attack I can't help you.

I must admit, I don’t know how the ‘superior player’ Is decided but I haven’t agreed with one of them yet

Previously I said that the first battle would be Australia surviving the US counter-press. I didn't think that the US would have good enough wide play to get by Australia. As it was, even without Pulisic the wide play was good enough. The counter-press was certainly important but it wasn't the difference maker. That was the US player movement. The US generated chance after chance in the first half.

Once that battle was won, Australia didn't have the quality to generate good chances even against a tired US team. Does that mean Australia doesn't have good players? No. It just means that they don't have a gameplan that fits their players for this situation against an opponent with the current quality of the US.

Relatively Cool weather in Santa Clara.
In the high 60s. Could be low 60s by the end of the match

A loss eliminates Turkey. They better wake up or else they will be flying back home way earlier than most people thought they would be.

Paraguay is going to just use the Australia playbook and play defense and counter the rest of the match.
