I don't want to argue on this one really, but i just want to ask that in the group D matches you keep an eye out on Mexico's left back. I understand portugal will have a lot of players on a "dream team" for group D, but i really don't think Caneira can take Salcido's spot. Like i said, i don't want to start an argument, just requesting that you wacth Mexico's LB, and i'lll do the same and watch Portugals LB. I think this thread will be a lot more interesting after we watch the group D matches.

Yeah, you're right I totally forgot about Salcido in that spot. Salcido instead of Caneira then.

Stop posting your national team you ********. Its basically Spam. Im gonna ask the mods if you can get flagged for that. Personally IMO its Portugal and Iran because only those teams have European influence. Mexico still plays in the back water league in their country and Angola has like 3 average subs.

Danni don't joke not putting Marquez in the line up is committing defensive murder... Cough cough the midfield is dead Maniche and Deco... Don't even joke Mahdavekia and Karimi are needed. Caneira sucks use rezaei. Pauleta is decent but not really... all the group D forwards IMO SUCK soooo i don't care about that.

Everyone is going to have a bit of homer perspective.

I think most of the lineups presented have had an attempt at bieng unbiased.

That's the best we can hope for.

I think Kaabi (Iranian) should be in the dream team. He's a 20 year old who plays on defence (he's short) but very quick (does anyone have the FIFA article about how he is the fastest player in the world), and for all of you who want to mock Iranians, this one is actually an Arab, lol. (In case u didn't know Iranians are for the most part Persian and the rest are pretty much Azeri/Turkic (like Daei)).... along with C.Ronaldo he's one of 7 on the Young Player Award shortlist.

+ Don't forget Mahdavikia... Most assists in Bundesliga history (voted second best winger in Germany (by Kicker) for 2005, ranked among the three best defenceman in Bundesliga this year (that's his role in Hamburger SV now, in Iran he plays Midfield, VERSATILE!!!) + His role in Iran's squad is more important than Karimi & others...

The only recent matches I've seen of Portugal and Mexico (national teams) are the Confed. Cup and euro 2004. If anyone knows about Hashemian I'd like to know how he compares to other strikers in the group. He's doing quite well now after reuniting with his old coach, I think the reason he didn't do too well in Bayern (even though he was one of the leagues top scorers the year before with a crappy team) was because even though he works hard, he's too much of a realist and plays too conservatively. Either way I love him because he is why Iran's in the WC, no doubt!

Along with Karimi, three of these players could make your list, my Iranian picks are Mahdavikia, Karimi and Kaabi. I admit that Kaabi might not be as good as the experienced Serie A defender Rahman Rezaei, but he's certainly more fun to watch. My two cents ppl... Keep it coming!

Kabeii possibly... I don't like Cavhalro... Andrade is ok though ...

Group D needs some forwards the only poeple I can think of Nuno Gomes, Blanco, Hashemian, and Pauleta

Our Midfeild is awesome though Ronaldo, Figo, Karimi, Mahdavekia, Maniche
