I'm interested to see how a non-UEFA/Conmebol powerhouse/tier one team fares against a UEFA tier two team!
Honestly I think the only powerhouses that are not UEFA / CONMEBOL are Japan, Morocco, and maybe Senegal? I guess Australia and Ivory Coast are the next best non UEFA / CONMEBOL teams after that, but I haven't seen enough from them to be sure.
Wow. I said the key to this game was whether Morocco scored early and they've scored the earliest goal of the world cup .
It's the high press. All the teams ive seen employ this tire out in the 2nd half. USA faced the same against Australia today. Ecuador also tired in the 2nd vs CIV. You gotta make the early high press count early on or you will pay in the 2nd. I think Scotland figured this out but they went down early. Even a goal down ot looked like they were trying to conserve energy for a final push at the end of both halves.
