    finished 3-2 Iraq.

What a game. End to end. Both teams didn't understand the word defense. 10 man Turkmenistan nearly pulled off a bigger shock than in their opening game, by getting another late equaliser. But Iraq got an even later winner.

    HT UZB 1-0 KSA.

Deserved lead. We sucked badly. Not surprising when for all intents and purposes we're playing with ten men. Mohammed aShalhoob is the most useless player. He just stands there next to the touchline waiting for the ball, and when he gets it, he messes everything up. Sub him. Put on the Giraffe or any other striker. Go back to 4-4-2.

arghhh this is like playing Qatar. Bye bye China 04.
If only we had Noor and Manaf in the starting lineup, our midfield has looked sh!t in this tournament. But that's life

there's plenty of chance that turk beat uzbek who are already through. but who knows? czech's bench warmers torched the desparate germans in euro. but still saudi must not depend on the others. they will have to beat iraq by whatever that secures the goal difference

If we continue the way we played today, a little bit better, we might just win and qualify. Dont think Turkmenistan will win, Uzbekistan has a very organized defense. Our players had one thing wrong today. The played on high balls to head, which we only had maybe 1 or 2, with 4 or 5 defenders we just wasted our chances. Hopefully we can come back strong in iraq, but we will probably play China if we qualify, which might be the end of us..

Although Iraq won, problems with the deffense still exist. Their is a gap between the strength of Iraq's deffense to that of the offense!

So it comes to down to a simple fact, if Iraqs offense fails to score, the deffense will not be of any help.

I really think the coach should take out the 2 overaged players and play just with the Olympic team players, they seem to have the better chemistry.

As far the final match in the group, predictions are that the Uzbeks, guaranteed their place in the second round, will give the match to Turkeminstan, while Iraq and Saudia will fight it out till the end and propably give Turkeminstan the second place.

Wow. The Uzbeks and the Turkmen will go on to the knock-out stage, while KSA, the five-time finalists, will exit early?! I guess we really underestimated Central Asian soccer. Some of them play in the Russian League, right?

And if Iraq beats KSA, it'll be a great day for the nation...

    Saudi64,

I don't know where you get your optimism from! We played really badly. Nothing to get any Iraqi worried. The only players who played well were Ibrahim Suwayyed and Ahmad aDoukhi.

I think you meant Iran there hama. We beat the uzbeks 4-0....

I am very dissapointed in the Saudies. I was hoping we could whip them later on in the tournement but it seems like they won't even make it past the 1st round. Shame

btw hama iv heard those sad twats at the premium boards have a thread in which they give each other reps! I believe that link shokulat copy pasted is to that thread but I can't view it since im not a premium member, since ur a "bigsoccer supporter" as they call it now adays, you can take advantage of that lame thing they're doing if you care about rep points.

BTW i hope Iraq can make it from this group, an Iran-Iraq match in the final would be nice :D
