Yes it looked offside and the HT analysis on ITV agrees, but FIFA doesn't care which team wins.

 

Switzerland are clearly dominating, but Qatar deserve credit for communicating well, playing smart, and trying. The gap between these two teams is noticeable, but Qatar are doing their best and they’re playing smart. They deserve credit for trying really hard.

They might not care who wins, but they may be testing early to see what they can get away with.

 

I don;t see why FIFA cares which team wins, in which case why would they favour a particular team?

Well it certainly has me thinking.

They just tried to fix the last afcon for Morocco, but Senegal thwarted their plans with Infantino watching angrily.

They then stripped Senegal of the title in an unprecedented fashion.

They gave Argentina a record number of penalties last time to give Messi his world cup, plus half the French team suddenly got ill for the final.

I saw somebody post on social media that he had insider information that all world cups are rigged and that they plan to give 2026 to Portugal.

This would make sense if they gave Messi one last time that they would give Ronaldo one this time. Just bookmark this post if Portugal wins with questionable calls or incidents.

Im also convinced they are going to try and cheat to keep both Mexico and USA in the competition as long as possible. Canada they dont care so much, plus not that many games hosting anyways.

Switzerland too wasteful, however the conditions didn't help them and Qatar came on strong in the closing stages.

I told people there is a reason UEFA teams do much worse outside of Europe. This tournament will be no different.
