Brazil will announce their roster on Wednesday, May 7. The full 30-man list is only expected to be revealed when FIFA publishes it so the Wednesday call-up will be the final 23 barring any injury.

When will other teams make their announcement?

All teams must announce a 30 man roster by May 13. All teams must announce a 23 man roster by June 2.

Chelsea has 4 of those players :)...a pretty solid lineup, although I'm disappointed to not see Coutinho or Lucas Moura on there. I'm not surprised that Robinho and Kaka were left off given their age and Milan's struggles this year.

Lucas Moura was given several chances but couldn't capitalize, Coutinho on the other hand never got his shot with the team.

I'm glad someone's not surprised Robinho and Kaká are out, sadly there's going to be too much of that sort of surprise in articles today about the call-up.

This was a very solid, and predictable, call-up by Scolari. He won the Confed Cup and built on top of that team. If we win it will be because he got the players he trusts to do things he needs them to do under pressure.

i think it's our best group since the golden generation isn't it?

what do you think about bubnjic at udinese?

I don't know why Bubnjić was called-up, I hope he won't make it to Brazil - Udinese sucks, he played rarely.

Pašalić is wonderful talent, signed with Chelsea... had great season in Hajduk, I would like to see him in Brazil. Močinić is from Rijeka, good player, but I don't expect to see him in final 23.

Yes, we have awesome midfield with very good attack, lots of player had great season (Modrić, Rakitić, Mandžukić, Olić) or awesome spring seasons (Perišić, Da Silva, last few games Kovačić too).

    We will qualify from group.

Halilovic is a better talent but physically and mentally he is not ready yet. Pasalic is a modern midfielder with a great motor. Box to box mid who can score goals but does not have the technical or dribbling ability of Halilovic. It's to bad Rebic got hurt as I think he would have been a big help. Closest player to Boksic in terms of style. Rebic still might make the final 23 as he was very good when he came on as a sub against Iceland but he has not played a game in months.

thank you very much for the infos!
very nice! i'm very looking forward to see these players on the pitch!
do you think it's possible to have a midfield pasalic, modric, rakitic, kovacic?
would it fit? could it work and be competitive?

i had a thought about match against brazil, i remember we were very close against spain with a 4-4-1-1
there were vida and srna on right side!

don't you think it would be interesting to face brazil this way?
they will be under pressure in front of their crowd and try to score fast, more we control them, more they'll stress!
and then we got technical skills for counter attacks.

    --------------pletikosa----------------
    vrsaljko----corluka-lovren----pranjic
    srna--------modric-rakitic-----perisic
    --------------kovacic------------------
    ---------------olic----------------------

    what do you think about?

I would say that this trio in the midfield can't work together against this type of opponent, we must use DM player like Vukojević (Mateo might work, but I wouldn't take that risk). Olić hardly can play as sole attacker, we would need someone to play against tough and tall Brazil defenders like Thiago and Luiz, Jelavić seems ideal.

    I would go with 4-5-1 (or 4-3-3)
    ---------------Pletikosa---------------
Srna --- Ćorluka - Lovren --- Strinić (better than Pranjić in DEF)
    ---------------Vukojević--------------
    ------Modrić-------------Rakitić-----
    Olić----------------------------Perišić (or Eduardo)
    ---------------Jelavić-----------------

ah ok i've never seen Pasalic play only videos, thought he had defensive skills...
do you think radosevic will become the defensive midfield we need?

Olic is a fighter, but i agree, Jelavic should be a better option for this match.

Iličević and Strinić (both injured) out for Croatia. Iličević is irrelevant, but Strinić is a big blow, standard LB, we have no another LB in preliminary squad.

it's sad but Perisic started his career as left back, Pranjic is ending his as left back, and Corluka made a big performance in Turkey when we won 3-0.

The fact Pranjic was in the 11 against Iceland and Switzerland shows they're still not really convinced by Strinic.
It's been our main weakness for years...

Tonight with the success of Real Madrid we got almost half of our team that won an european cup in their career.

    Srna europa with chaktior donetsk
    Olic uefa with CSKA Moscow
    Rakitic europa with Sevilla FC
Mandzukic champions league with Bayern Munchen
Modric champions league with Real Madrid

it won't be a key factor but it's a nice experience for these players.

    Cameroon World Cup squad:
    Goalkeepers:
Charles Itandje (Konyaspor, Turkey), Sammy Ndjock (Fethiyespor, Turkey), Lioc Feudjou (Coton Sport)

Defenders: Allan Nyom (Granada, Spain), Nounkeu Dany (Besiktas, Turkey), Cedric Djeugoue (Coton Sport), Aurelien Chedjou (Galatasaray, Turkey), Nicolas Nkoulou (Marseille, France), Henri Bedimo (Lyon, France), Benoit Assou-Ekotto (QPR, England)

Midfielders: Enoh Eyong (Antalyaspor, Turkey), Jean Makoun (Rennes, France), Joel Matip (Schalke 04, Germany), Stephane Mbia (Sevilla, Spain on loan from QPR, England), Landry Nguemo (Bordeaux, France), Alexandre Song (Barcelona, Spain), Edgar Salli (Lens, France)

Forwards: Samuel Eto'o (Chelsea, England), Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting (Mainz 05, Germany), Benjamin Moukandjo (Nancy, France), Vincent Aboubakar (Lorient, France), Pierre Achille Webo (Fenerbahce, Turkey), Fabrice Olinga (Zulte Waregem, Belgium)

    Players to miss out:

Guy Roland Ndy Assembe (Guingamp, France)
    Jean-Armel Kana-Biyick (Rennes, France)
    Gaetang Bong (Olympiakos, Greece)
    Cedric Loe (Osasuna., Spain)
    Mohamadou Idrissou (Kaiserslautern, Germany)

    ---
General good decisions, although I believe Assou-Ekotto (defensive liability) and Dany Nounkeu (as Ekotto) should have dropped, while Gaetan Bong and Jean-Armel Kana-Biyick should have stayed. Wonder if the coach will stick with the back four of Djeugoue, Nkoulou, Matip and Bedimo? Best back four IMO. Overall after yesterday's display from players like Mbia, Nguemo, Song and Enoh looks like a strong midfield and a very promising attack.
