Lol aren't tacos al pastor considered one of the best dishes in the world? I will say this though. It's hard to find really good tacos and Mexican food even in Socal. 90% of joints are pretty bad in my experience. Maybe that's why there is a bad impression sometimes. Not to mention Mexican food is much more than just tacos and burritos.
Mexican food in CA is generally bad. One does get little enclaves of outstanding mexican food, however. There is some great Oaxacan food in San Diego and great birria and carnitas in the Bay Area. Las Vegas has outstanding Sinaloan food. But most taco shops are straight garbage. You have to really look for it and talk to locals to get to the good stuff.
Yup that's also what I've found in my experience. SD in general has excellent food. Don't get me started on culichitown town and cangrejo nice some of the worst Mexican food I've had.
To be fair I have not, to date, had good Mexican food in Texas. It's all been pretty terrible. The exception being a Korean-Mexican place in Austin (foodtruck).
Thomasville, of all places. This was a few years ago. There was taco joint in Valdosta that was bomb but according to family members it closed down.
Funny enough the best authentic Mexican tacos that I've had in Texas has been in food trucks. All Mexican restaurants range from Ok to mediocre. Terrible considering the amount of paisas we have here.
I'm shocked that this was written by the "Playing for Mexico is like rooting for a college you never went to" fvckwit. Too bad that he's so loyal he will start boycotting games where Yunus Musah or Sergiño Dest play since he's against countries that have players who didn't grew up or live there.
Out of all my travels in the US, I can confidently say that Chicago has the best Mexican food experience. There are a lot of mid to higher end AUTHENTIC Mexican restaurants that you cannot find in immigrant specific communities.
I think it's hard for an American to understand that Mexicans consider themselves an ethnicity above all else (Unless you're apart of those one percenter Arab/Jewish people). Despite the diversity in Mexico, it's the closest thing to a cultural etho-state in the Americas. Being from abroad, especially if right next door, doesn't negate someone from being a Mexican, at least from a cultural sense (obviously there are legal definitions). I would take a Pocho above Funes Mori any day.
Too bad all those dweebs were too fat or skinny to play American football and be involved with the sport where spectators act worse.
LMAO. Those dudes (and Canadian fanst too) are obsessed with Elo and calculating numbers and shit for their chances making it to the WC. Plus "the Ocho" lame stuff. Definitely not a very socially active bunch in their real life.
You do realize that if you live in US, even if born in Mexico, you are pretty much Gringos. Congrats. Larping as Mexicans on BSMX but won't ever move to Mex. Add that to gringo wall of shame rofl. cheers!
