Westerlo vs Antwerp 21 Sep 12:15 EST Not on ESPN + I think this would have been the most entertaining match to watch. Westerlo attacks really well, and Antwerp has become somewhat deficient on defense. Yow has a knee issue. "Griffin Yow also stayed behind in the dressing room due to knee problems." That was from the last match and explains why he did not play in the 2nd half. For tomorrow "only Griffin Yow cannot be counted on, just how long he will be out of action is still a question mark."
Slow start for Yow is a bummer after the momentum he seemed to be carrying from last season. Was hoping he would move this past summer.
Westerlo vs Club Brugge 19 Oct 10:00 EST Not on ESPN + Pretty important match for Westerlo. They could bump up into 3rd with a win and will want to stay in top top 6 spots. Club Brugge is tied with them with 15 points, but have been playing very well in the league. Yow's status is unknown. The match preview does not mention that he is still hurt, but it does not state that he is better.
Westerlo vs Dender 1 Nov 15:45 EST Not on ESPN + There is a good chance that Yow seems much more playing time in this one. Since his injury, the team has floundered quite a bit. Only one win in the last five, and only 4 points out of 15. Yow sparked the match in the last league one when he entered at the half. I am not saying he is the most important player on the team, but his absence has been greatly felt.
Westerlo vs Gent 1 Dec 13:15 EST Not on ESPN + Westerlo should be more rested as Gent had the Thursday match vs Lugano. Coming off his first goal of the season, Yow should start and help harry the Gent defense.
Match ended 2-2. Yow played ok, and was subbed out at the 61'. The thing that surprised me was that he only had 13 total touches in 60 min of play. The previous week he had 44 touches, and 55 the week before. It seems like he was just a non-factor.
