Had a stop there on a cruise in February. Since the insurrection in 1983, they have been very friendly to Americans and continue to be. From what I hear, the best place to stay is over by the American University which is between the airport and St. George port. The stadium is just north of the port and seems to hold about 5000-6000. The cricket stadium is next door and seems to hold about the same. If you want a tour of the island, go to the port and just look like a tourist. Sure enough someone will take you around the entire island and show you everything. Great place. I wish I could have stayed longer. Easily my favorite Carribian island. Try the roti Here is a Map
