I almost walked into a bad company in Japan, but pulled out just in time. Made sure to go through the Korean government program for this one.

"A winter roster overhaul" - Considering the number of players "in contract" it is interesting there is this vibe. Not sure if this is just reference to being able to sign 2 DPs and replace a couple others, or if 'deep pockets' can make more happen than is obvious. Either way, it should be an interesting off-season.

“I realized how I need help. And really, part of the alignment part with Joe was saying, 'OK, we want to create this executive leadership team that helps shoulder some of the responsibilities, whether it's player transfers, player negotiations, player recruitment, performance, strategy.' So it's really about creating a team around us that we can pull in the same direction to try to be successful for the club.”
    - soooo, not really the old MLS "do it all dual role". This sounds like Joe has agreed to let GGG invert the en-vogue model of a Director with a few direct reports (including the coach) to having a Coach with a large enough number of direct reports to be able to be able to have the bandwidth to actually coach...and tell those reports (traditionally above or peer to coach) what to do. Should be an interesting experiment.

  5. No one asked. If you want to be honest that question was way down the list to ask in the time allotted. And only a few of us wonks want to know. We'll know soon enough.

Why would anyone want the man who found Duran back with the technical staff?

    Don't think he 'left'...
"Will he remain?" might be a valid question...but it sure sounds like the new org will be large enough they would keep him around.

good grief, a question seeking information and three responses saying 1) unimportant question 2) assuming there was a complaint about Peltzer and 3) a pedantic response about returning vs remaining

The "ninja" emoji is supposed to help keep things light hearted. It was already announced that he was staying so I'm not sure there's been an update since then.

It would be nice to have some information about his performance at Fire.
I have read that Duran was listed on several “young prospects lists” before he came to Fire. Who convinced Duran to join Fire? What other positive activities has Pelzer been involved in?
His long relationship with Heitz-Was it because he was 1)so good Heitz did what it took to keep him
or 2) not good but loyal to Heitz?
I am trying to keep an open mind about him but it is hard to do.

I must have missed that announcement. I thought it was only announced he would be here through year-end.
( pretty sure I am not the only one who has trouble discerning one tiny emoji from another, not to mention the inability to interpret what someone means when
    one is used.)

I can only find reference to his "extension" that does expire at the end of the year.

Which is also what transfermarket shows.

So, it sounds like it belongs on the list of GGG decisions to make soon.

Not sure if he get's '100% credit' for everyone signed after he began his role in Dec 2019, but I suspect it would include most everyone that did not come through the academy...which would be:
Gimenez, Teran, Fede Navarro, Czichos, Mueller, Dean, Souquet, Koutsias, Gutman, Barlow, Gasper, Salquist, Arigoni, MHS, Acosta, Cuypers and Lassiter.

There was no mention of Pelzer leaving In the original announcement that Heitz was leaving.

Contracts were extended in November, 2023 and there has been no announcement that Pelzer is following Heitz out of the door.

One would presume that if Pelzer was leaving with Heitz they would have mentioned it.

Of course, perhaps Mansueto forgot Pelzer was even still the team, but I doubt that.

Also, Heitz chose to leave (at least according to the official announcement) and was not fired.

How long was the extension? One year would seem most logical but somebody mentioned three.
