The weather is great and I might get to see some Swedish football tomorrow in Örebro. I'll do some scouting for the Burn. Shouyld be sitting in the supporters side so maybe I can get a fewe chants to bring back with me.

Dema needs to be taken out. Wander, make use of that ticket. In the words of metallica, Seek and Destroy!

Does anyone know why the Burn don't travel to Norway, Sweden, or Finland for the preseason training? Weather and timing of the season seems like it would work out.

Oh yeah Wander gets the credit for suggesting that I do this.

    Hey!

Was wondering when you would be able to post from over there.

And let me know if you run into the Swedish Bikini Team.

Check out Paul Oyuga for Oresbro. Played for the CT Wolves last season and is Oresbro's leading scorer.

Good luck with the bikini team.

Its official. Going to see the game. I'll be sure to take some pics of the stadium.

Oh and gotyourback, the Fins are better looking for the most part, but then again I'm in a swedish city that has about 150,000.

The match was freaking amazing(if the mods put a R on the thread topic, I'll post the score). I got lots of pictures of the stadium. The way everything was set up reminds me of Dragon stadium in a few ways and a way to design the frisco sss. When I get time I'll write a game report and make some notes on the stadium.

I believe so. However the forwards were the stars of the game for Örebro SK.

Some comments about the stadium: The set up is ideal for everyone. It is open air with a roof to provide shade for the people in the north and south side with stands behind the goal. There is also an area for the supporters club of both teams.

Field: It wasn't the funnist part of the game watching players slip and fall on some type of turf. I have no idea what kind it was, but after the game when taking a picture, I jumped the fence and it didn't feel like the the fieldturf at slc. It looks like the bermuda grass with some type of sand as well.

Crowd: Much like at slc. The north and south side were not into the chanting, but when there was a chant that had clapping, they got involved. Also when there was a good play, they clapped. When there was a goal, then there was noise.

Supporters club: both teams had them. Örebro's group though had a chant or song going throughout the game.

More comments when I get back to the states.

No, I just told him it would be cool to go to some games in Scandinavia since he was going to be there. He already had that in mind also, of course. Maybe we can keep the thread alive until he gets back so he can post the pictures.

I plan all my vacations around games. The wife doesn't always let me get my way, but you can try.

I want to go to Montreal, see the Impact play.

    :D

I thought everyone was on this wavelength. Vacations are to see new cities, experience new things, and see the locals play the game.

I was able to tie in a Caymans vs Jamaica national team game into our Cayman Islands trip (all by accident). Wife was loving it because we were in this great local area with locas having a great time... I also caught a game in Stockholm when I was there - fun...

I should have the match report and pictures ready to go sometime next week. I arive in Dallas on the 4th. Oh yeah the coffee here is killer. Good thing the Burn won as well.

No, the group was people from my school at cfni in bright and shiney Oak Cliff. And that picture doesn't do any justice. Picture this for the game. 13 people sitting at a library, minding their own business with 2 people shouting chants and just being crazy during the game. I just got back into Dallas today so hopefully tomorrow I will send the match report in to 3rd or just create a new thread with the [R].

Good and in fact with the exception when both teams were slipping on the pitch, Orebro had control of the game and everyone looked good. I'm going to start typing the match report today.
