Turkey 0-0.. if Turkey win , Turkey go in first spot.. but no win... there for Turkey played playoff vs Latvia... Turkey lost playoff game 1-0 and home 2-2........ no EuroFinals... 2006 same group with Greece. Turkey finish second... went to the playoff ,,you know the result. 2-0 away game lost. 4-2 Home game win....duo to away goal advance. Swiss nT advantage to the 2006Finals.... and now. Hopefully they can keep the momentum going (yes, I know Ero 2008 is a long ways off) by winning the remain fixtures despite giving some time to younger players. The better performances can lead to better seeding in the next qualification tournament too.
Hey guys, did you know that Janni Amanaditis had played for my home town Fürth in the 2nd league, where he was the fans' darling before he moved back to Stuttgart and then to Frankfurt? I've had a few nice conversations with him after the training during that time. Great guy!! How is Charisteas doing at the national team lately? I noticed him score the 1:0 against Bosnia. The Nuremberg fans hope that he'll finally score the 1st goal for them too now...
borussia, charisteas mate isnt what he used to be,he has lost his touch dont really know whats going on..only hope he wakes up and starts playing again and score for Nuremberg as he is a fighter and wont drop his weapons so easy for the team and fans. With our victory today, we will be in Pot 1 for World Cup 2010 qualifying. VERY big thing! Can't understate it. We thus avoid Italy Germany Spain Portugal France Czech Republic Netherlands England. We might well see a World Cup for the first time since 1994.

I follow Greece from afar, and am interested in knowing what the Greek fans seem to think the difference in the team was from 2006 World Cup Qualifying to 2008 Euro. Once again, Greece have become extremely difficult to defeat and I think they are among the favorites for the tournament.

I was a bit worried they would lose their leadership after Zagorakis but they seem to still have enough under Otto, Basina, and maybe Stelios and the others from 2004. I agree, the other teams will have be out for Greece next summer, and it will be a fight. We will see how far Greece have come. Hopefully, it will be another Greek Summer.
