I have a question regarding the greatest players such as ronaldhino, jay jay okocha etc.... I was wondering what they did when they were younger to practice...(routines)

I don't know if I would put those players in the "Greatest" categories but I guess that is besides the point.

You answered part of your question. The key is to practice, practice and practice. The more you play in general the better you will be. The players you mentioned probably played everyday since they were toddlers. That is all there is for alot of them. They don't have Nintendos, Cable TV, and other things to occupy their time.

Another piece is having ability. Some people can practice for years and just not have that soccer "sense". This includes things like a field of vision, patience, and other intangibles. I don't know how much you can develop these things. Alot just boils down to genetics.

Third you must have opportunity. Being in the right place at the right time. I bet there are alot of players better than the ones we see on center stage but they just never were noticed. This I guess gets back to practice and playing. The more you do the more chance someone might notice you.

They have said in various interviews that they just used to play football in the street a lot and practice all the time. Remember you arent born with Skill, you are born with ability so skill is something that has to be learnt. And those players have practiced and practiced until its been learnt.
