Barca vs Chelsea 2009 CL Semifinal's
Iniesta's goal in the 90+ minute. It made all of Barca (and maybe Spain) tremble.

As a Turkish football fan I need to tell this story. Turkey's EURO 2008 adventure was all about finishes.
In second game of group stage, Turkey won 2-1 against Switzerland, after losing half time by 0-1. Goals were by Semih Şentürk(57') and Arda Turan(92').
Third game was against Czech Republic ant the winner was qualifying to quarter finals. In the 62' minute Czech Republic made the score 2-0 against Turkey. However, Turkey won the game with Arda Turan's(75') and Nihat's(87', 89') goals by 3-2. The game was chosen "the most exciting match in EURO 2008" by many media channels.
Quarter Final Stage match was against Croatia, after 0-0 full time, Croatia scored in 119' and Turkey responded with a 121' minute goal. On penalties Turkey went to the Semi-finals where they lost to Germany with 3-2 score. 4 minutes before the finish Turkey made the score 2-2 against Germany. But Lahm scored in the 90' minute.
That was the story of how Turkey was called "comeback kings" by eurosport.

That's the video of last 5 minutes of Turkey-Croatia Quarter finals match

    This

The Turkey/Croatia game, was also great but it went into PKs after, which is a strike against.

I will never forget the Bundesliga season 2000/2001.

    Situation before the 34th matchday:

    1. Bayern München 33 19 5 9 61:36 +25 62
    2. FC Schalke 04 33 17 8 8 60:32 +28 59

So Bayern only needed a draw vs. Hamburg to become Champion. Schalke needed to win and Bayern to lose to become Champion.

In a remarkable match Schalke were behind 0:2 and 2:3 vs Unterhaching but won 5:3 in the end. In the Hamburg - Bayern match it is 0-0 after 89. Minutes then Hamburg scored 1:0. Everyone on Schalke was crazy, they all thought they won the championship, because they thought the match was already over. Even the journalists told them the HSV - Bayern match was over and all of them stormed the field and were celebrating.

However they were still playing in Hamburg and the HSV goalkeeper picked up a back pass and so Bayern got an indirect free kick in the penalty area... the rest is history.

It's really a cruel story. Schalke thought they were champions again after more than 50 years.

As a fan of the US Soccer Team, I really enjoyed the 90th minute goal from Donovan against Algeria in the last game of the group stages to send the USA through, it was freaking sweeeet. That's about as good as it's gotten for US soccer haha. It was nuts at the house I was at with everybody jumping up and down, crazy finish.

Palermo's 93rd minute goal after a goalmouth scramble to give Argentina a 2-1 win over Peru and put them in the World Cup 2010 was something I'll never forget.

The circumstances made it even more dramatic. Argentina faced a must win against bottom dwellers Peru or faced elimination. Argentina create many chances in the first half but fail to find the net. A 48th minute Higuain strike calms the nerves, but Argentina go in to t rot after that. Peru threaten to score every time they have the ball but our defenders and goalie hold on for dear life and we are almost there.

Meanwhile unprecedented heavy torrential rainstorms in Buenos Aires almost completely obscure the television images and we can hardly see the players through the raindrops on the screen. Peru's 90th minute equalizer completely deflates 60,000 at the Monumental, and all Argentina fans around the world.

It seems all over for Argentina, but the last miracle from St. Palermo, capped by Maradona's infamous belly flop makes it a moment Argentina fans will never forget.

Yes, Bayern's last-kick-of-the-season title win in 2001 is legendary, as is Arsenal's in 1989.

One that hasn't been mentioned yet is Sevilla last season. Heading into the last game of the domestic season, they were in battle with Mallorca for the 4th Champions League spot:

    4. Sevilla - played - 37, points 60
    5. Mallorca - played - 37, points 59

Mallorca recorded a routine 2-0 victory at home to Espanyol in their last game, goals coming in the 24th and 78th minute.

Meanwhile Sevilla travelled to mid-table Almeria and got off to a good start when Kanoute headed in the opener from a Jesus Navas cross on 15 minutes. One minute before half-time Almeria pulled back through a sweet volley by Soriano. Sevilla re-took the lead in the 53rd minute when another Navas cross was punched by goalkeeper Esteban at his own defender and into the net (this is the same Esteban who recently gifted 2 goals to Messi and Villa in the Barcelona-Almeria game!). 2-1 to Sevilla and looking good. 12 minutes later and Sevilla were down to 10 men, Negredo sent off for dissent towards the officials and Sevilla's slender lead looking even more unsafe.

Back in the Mallorca game, soon after they'd scored the 2nd goal to put the game beyond doubt, news filtered through of another Almeria equaliser. Ortiz had just scored an absolutely fantastic 25 yard effort cutting in from the left wing. You could imagine the excitement of their fans knowing that they were so close to Champions League football! :D

But fate seemed to be on Sevilla's side. There was a reason they were the only team not to have drawn an away game all season, and incredibly in the 4th minute of stoppage time they got the all-important winner. Navas again the creator, his cross from the right was knocked back across goal by Squillaci and with a fantastic leap, 19 year-old academy product Rodri smashed the ball into the roof of the net.

Sevilla fans erupted with joy. Mallorca meanwhile had already finished their game, and their fans (along with the players on the pitch) listened to their radios eagerly anticipating confirmation of the 2-2 draw elsewhere. So how cruel must it have been when the news belatedly filtered through that Sevilla had got the all-important winner and condemned the islanders to 5th spot :(

A truly remarkable finale to the season, and a sad ending for Mallorca who were not even allowed the consolation of a Europa League spot. In July last year they were banned from the competition due to going into administration, and lost a lot of their best players in the process.

atomicbloke, I remember watching that game live! I'm not even an Argentina fan but I had a special feeling inside when Palermo scores, it's the stuff of legend.

If anyone has seen the film "Mike Bassett - England Manager", there are a lot of remarkable parallels with Maradona's tenure as Argentina coach. And as a bonus they actually look like each other too.
