the best player of the tournament ... World Cup 1998 : Thuram ........ easily on my view ......... Serie A Calcio .... Juventus ..... players...... Del Piero .....and Davids ..........better than Zizou .... for sure ..... at Uefa Champions League ........] 1996-1997 and ....... 1997-1998 .......seasons ... Zidane played very very well before the Finals... against Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid ... I remember very very well Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United... always amazing and impressive... always hypnotized with the greater performances of Zizou... especially against Manchester United... in these seasons... 1996-1997 .........and 1997-1998 .............. ... Ferguson Sir wanted to sign Zidane at all costs.
...But ... I agree with you ... dear Mate ... !.. i won't to vote by Zidane ........1997/1998........... season ..........!
Premier League will never achieve the charm and poetry of classic serie A. They have an idea of sport that is closer to USA's. Sheiks' owned movielike supeteams filled with hypertrophic egos with their arrogance, their antics and their laughably emphatic goal celebrations will never hold a candle to eighties italian football.
Really, in fact the market is inflated there. They are paying a lot of money in players who aren't worth the value. ManUtd payed nearly 300M in Sesko, Mbaumbo and Cunha lol 80M or so in Maguire, Chelsea spent the same on Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo. Not that they are bad players but they aren't worth the value invested
2020's Premier League vs. 80's-90's Serie A is like comparing the latest Star Wars trilogy to the original one.
Probably. The best players of Premier League on 20s are KDB and Salah. The best from Serie A are Ronaldo, Zidane, Platini, Maradona, Zico, Baggio, etc... no comparison at all. Except maybe collectivelly. The best team of Premier League is probably ManCity 22/23 while Serie A is Sachi's Milan on 89/90. The later is individually much better but collectively, ManCity 22/23 is better as a team. This is what peopple call "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts"
Plus the tawdry showmanship, plus the mobster attitude of many players, plus the overfilled calendar...plus the horrorific tatoos...
.............. .. On ..... Ruud Gullit ...... Since you're a true Italian, perhaps you might be familiar with this information and these prophecies coming from Giovanni Galli, the former goalkeeper for AC Milan and Napoli. Giovanni Galli defeated Nostradamus, the super Prophet, in the own Art of Prophecy itself. I've seen Galli talking in several documentaries about Ruud Gullit... He was very very impressed with Ruud Gullit... when he saw... Gullit playing against FC Barcelona... in the Joan Gamper Trophy Because AC Milan was focused on playing against Barcelona after this match. In another friendly, soon to be announced on the European teams' calendar or Schedules . .....The AC Milan board... had annual reports and cassette tapes on Gullit since 1985/1986 season . Giovanni Galli made the following prophecy about Ruud Gullit: : Galli says : " When Diego Armando Maradona experiences a slight technical decline, Ruud Gullit will surely become the best and most complete player in the entire world easily, faster and as soon as possible ." Galli...Gullit is the most complete player I've ever seen. No injuries, 100% fit and healthy to play in . .... Galli was accurate that As Nostradamus never had before hahahahahhaha . Between May and July of 1988... Galli's prophecy was fulfilled about Gullit with the Italian championship and Euro-cup titles in 1988 confirmed . " ! Unfortunately after... Ruud Gullit began to suffer from chronic injuries to his right knee.
Among those those that I am knowledgeable about for having seen them countless times in whole matches, I would say Baggio and Maldini, I can't help aligning to common opinion. In terms of sheer talent, I would say Zola. Runner-ups are Signori, Donadoni, Baresi and an handful of the 82 heroes (Tardelli, Cabrini, Scirea). Never that fond of Totti and Del Piero
....... ... Italy today has... several players who are highly underrated and forgotten already . due to the simple... concrete fact that they are players ... without a CNPJ ( company registration number) of Global Marketing and advertising companies .... no media on top For me ....... on Italian players .. honestly ...... Roberto Baggio I wouldn't put it in my List and on my view ...never never never ... Baggio is very bad in decisive games. And very media-savvy like Maradona. Also inconsistent. Baggio ......... very very limited ....physically ..prone injury player .and ...limited ..... at whole defensive Job .... Evani ..........from Ac Milan ......... For me... he was slightly better than Roberto Baggio. Evani... 1989/1990... season...Serie A Calcio ... He gave numerous assists and pre-assists.......... 18 ... Assists ...serie A Calcio 1989/1990 .. He was skillful too... Nutmegs, sombreros...croqueta ....shorter dribbles ... roulette... 360... a la René Houseman, Diego Maradona, Paulo Roberto Falcao, Zico , Rijkaard Frank and Zidane Zinedine He tackled much better than Baggio... He had much more stamina, endurance and mobility to cover the entire field. 105/68 ........... length ...width ........meters .... It helped a lot... at higher-pressure mentality on this moment. at Attacking Set-Pieces ...........simply Out of this World the Levels .......... other italian players better than R. Baggio ...easily ...on my view .. ! G. Meazza............Il bambino d'oro Clearly much more important to Italian football than Baggio easily and calmly without a doubts . Giacinto Facchetti ..1963 until .1968 ... Roberto Donadoni Scirea Antonio Cabrini Rivera Gianni V. Mazzolla ..the father .... Riva Dino Zoff Bruno Conti Marco Tardelli Paolo Rossi GianLuca Vialli Roberto Mancini Brio Claudio Gentile Giancarlo Antognoni Luis Monti Orsi Silvio Piola Schiavio P. Fanna ... Antonio Di Gennaro Tarcisio Burgnich Luigi De Agostini Alex Del Piero ............ Zola ........ ......... .. I see Baggio as being on Francesco Totti's level. more with more pure talent and genius side !
... Another fraud... In the same vein as Roberto Baggio It was Dennis Bergkamp , Ronaldinho Gaucho and Djalminha .. ! Players who make a living... solely from highlight reels. [You watching the entire matches...]being discerning, objective and fair with the Images ..nd smaller Details ...on these games ..
....... .. FRanco Baresi and Paolo Maldini they are very very highly Over-rated by ignorant people of the Football World ... and sadly mental illness spectators Yes, they were great players, yes... But... People treat them... as if they had won 3 World Cups for Italy... like Pelé did it for the Brazilian National Team side or Mario Jorge Wolf Zagallo...
........... .. Look, I'm saying this... and I would vote for Paolo Maldini as the best player of the year 1993/1994. But people generally have a lot of prejudice and a great deal of ill will towards the defenders. in these awards overall
Didn't see him live. Mostly highlights and one or other full matches for example world cup semifinal 1998 and ManUtd vs Arsenal at old trafford in 2002. So I don't have much authority to speak on this. But he seems like a very technical player. In terms of technique, he was better than Henry. Had one of the best first touches in history and delivered milimetric and perfect weighted through balls. But maybe I'm overrating him based on YouTube highlights
....well....... I agree with you on this Highlights are definitely the worst tool available to properly evaluate and analyze any player with a fair way " really Real " . And unfortunately... Your generation has become extremely addicted to highlights...at You Tube ... The more these football journalists talk about football, the more I realize how little of them truly understand it. In a deep, real way, based on real facts; In a truly historical context. This first touch skills... is based on Cruyff's technical school. Gullit and .Van Basten they had first touch skills.. on the same level from Bergkamp... maybe better .... Gullit and Van Basten They were also the sons of Cruyff's technical school. They are similar in all technical attributes. They are alike. the own ...Romário ...... .. It had the mannerisms of the Dutch technical school.
