    Is anybody here taking part in the 2004 Gothia Cup in Sweden, if so reply and has anyone here played in it before and can you let me now what it was like?

    im playing in sweden at the gothia cup.. for Buckingham United U-16.

    my team isnt but prolly next year. but this year our younger team is. FC America U-15

    I played in the Gothia Cup in 1987. It was a great time, until our coach misread the match schedule and we missed our first-round knockout stage game and forfeited our way out of the event. No joke.

    thats my age, im only 14 but im playing with the older team and they decided to go to sweden so it worked out haha

    haha wow that would suck, haha but the coach would have probably gotten it pretty bad for that right?

    I played in Gothia Cup in 2000. It was by far one of the most enjoyable tournaments I have ever played in. Gothenburg is one awesome city too. We even got to play some friendlies after we lost in the quarter finals...which was cool because we played on cider fields (red clay stuff). it was nice to get some extra games in too. a very nice tournament, recommend it everyone.

    My daughter's team is thinking of attending the Gothia Cup in 2005 ... for those who have already attended, did you enjoy it? did you use a third-party agent to arrange the trip? what kind of cost per player were you looking at?
