There were allocations available for the first phase, just like there are allocations available in the later phases.

That's strange, it's hard to reconcile this:

    with this:

seeing as how the US sold out their TST allocation in Phase 1. I guess it'll take a little less than a week to determine whether there are indeed leftovers, and how many there are.

Thanks very much for the info.

I am in the same place as you are. As I was reading it - I was like oh crap, no USA TSTs but then they said USA TSTs should be available. I guess we will find out very shortly.

I will trade you dilemmas. You worry about getting tickets and I will worry about where to stay! :D

    :( :( :(

I think I'll purchase them (albeit 10x higher) from a separate website. It will help me sleep better at night.

Seriously, don't panic yet. There are several more rounds to go! Give it a shot.

Yeah I was thinking about it after I posted. It's not like I could book lodging until December anyways. Unless I did the Berlin-centric planning that Mikeymike is doing.

i think 2nd round is if you are trying to get TST (team specific tickets) round 3 is a random draw again...

My understanding is that it will be midnight German time. Right now Germany is 6 hours ahead of East Coast time, or 9 hours ahead of PST. However, you should be checking this page from the FIFA World Cup Site:

    http://fifaworldcup.yahoo.com/06/en/tickets/taf.html

As of today, there isn't anything posted there.

I just got back from vacation and checked my email and I got my 3 TST-6 USA tickets. Fantastic, now the 5 years of planning will not be for naught. We'll be using friends in Munich as our base of operations.

Any idea of the best way to get a few group stage tickets that won't interfere with the USA games? Will I need to wait for the draw and then hope?

Worst case, when you get to Germany, find matches with Asian and/or African teams and go get them day of, there should be a few in the south. I've done this in the past.

Anyone else getting the feeling that there is something wrong with ticket sales? I mean the second phase starts in less than five days and the message on the website still says check back in late April. I don't have much hope for Phase 2 right now

congrats.... but use the Mastercard, wait 30 days to pay it off.. and that way you use THEIR money for 30 days, rather than it transferring out of your account today...

but to each his own... i got my MC specifically for WC06... i will use it in germany etc...
