The stereotype for gamers was young men living in their mom's basement and games tended to cater to that. So main characters tended to be male and any women were either mother types, and/or hot with large breasts. Starting around 2010, developers noticed that roughly half of gamers were female and roughly as diverse as society as a whole, so they started to diversify games to reflect that and try to attract females and more diverse audience to their games.

One example of this is a game set in the Star Wars universe that recently came out with a female lead that has no Force powers and is a low level criminal (think a female Han Solo). The game itself is a very mid-quality game unless you are a Star Wars fan. There are plenty of legitimate complaints people could have about the game, but the main complaint is that the female lead isn't hot enough.

 

Well, yes.

 

I agree 100% The premise (of the Acolyte) is interesting, but executed badly because the dialogue/script was terrible. This led to characters that were flat (minus Sol and the by-the-book Jedi who was intentionally written that way) with the intentions of multiple characters switching on a dime. That made for a muddled story because the script was .... not good. Having said that, blaming it on a woke cast, woke showrunner, woke director or woke Disney on why it sucks is a boring strawman. Heck, woke has lost its meaning TBH.

As an avid Star Wars fan, this is the second time I said to my wife, "it's ok if you don't want to watch it. I don't want to watch it either." It came across as amateur fanfic on a random Star Wars blog post.

Nah, CCRs have either been chased out or have transmogrified into MAGAts. If (I really really hope) Trump loses bigly, MAGAts will keep doubling down since they do have some success, specially in red states, so they will see that as proof that they're the majority and that elections are rigged.

My prediction: he's there. Trump tries to spin this as a Democratic witch hunt. Robinson goes with the tried and true "high tech lynching." They weave it all together as a sign that "we" need to destroy the evil deep state at all costs.
