I keep saying it, but the GOP's current outlook is just being so weird and off-putting that they're going to lose elections that should be easy wins.

 

What is the point of the apology? It wasn't a mistake. What do you say, sorry I am as crazy as an outhouse rat!??

 

I remember a tweet I saw where a guy was basically saying that. He said they're weird and they're doing weird things and if they want people voting for them to stop doing weird things. He was like I'm not a political person with a fancy diagnosis I'm just a dude and they're just weird and need to stop being weird.

It was the most brilliant piece of low information voter analysis I have read.

 

Remember Blake Masters? Off-putting and weird. Also potential murderer.

Tudor Dixon? Weird and off-putting, also cruel.

Kristina Karamo? Weird, off-putting, and in need of obvious mental help. Also thinks yoga pants and Beyonce are Satanic. (Ooooookkkk).

The one thing they had in common is they all had Trump's backing.

The difference is Noem actually won an election and that was pre-Dobbs.

Only thing one of those three won is state GOP chair and lasted a year at that.

 

It's all about being an unserious juvenile to own the libs. They aren't here to legislate or govern, they are here to be the class clown and just get attention. MAGA is like the worst high school student body you can imagine.

 

Stuff like this is why despite the hopes of many, things won’t get back to “normal” even if Trump never wins another election.

 

A MI GOP representative was arrested in the early morning. Rumors going around that he was harassing a stripper and had a gun.

And to add to the crazy that is the Michigan GOP, his father was a literal Nazi and was also a representative. The man denied it but he was donating to people like David Duke and hanging out with Birchers.

“State Rep. Neil Friske was arrested early Thursday morning in Lansing on undisclosed charges.”

Friske is among the most conservative members of the state Legislature.

I can't remember where I saw it, but someone pointed out that there is a scientific basis that shows that when a person accepts that a single conspiracy theory is true, they become more susceptible to accept other conspiracy theories as true. The Republican base has been fed a massive conspiracy theory that Democrats hate America and want to ban Christianity for decades now. As that conspiracy theory has spread, it has made them more susceptible to things like Sandy Hook being fake, Dr. Fauci being behind the development of Covid, etc, etc.

 

She won before being a dog killer. Now, her career might as well be dead in gravel pit.

 

Knowing the MI GOP it wouldn't surprise me.

 

Idaho's state GOP held their convention last weekend and it has adopted a platform that is just as crazy as you might think.

1. It calls for the criminalization of abortions, without exceptions for rape or incest, the banning of embryo destruction by IVF providers, and a ban on doctor assisted suicide/euthanasia.

2. It calls for a ban on all education funding beyond High School, so say goodbye to Idaho's public colleges.

3. It calls for the creation of a school voucher program so public funds can be used on private schools and home school programs.

4. It wants to ban all public funding for things not specifically mentioned in the Idaho constitution. So pesky things like state parks, economic assistance for businesses, construction of and maintenance of roads/rail/airfields/etc, worker retraining, etc, etc, would be defunded. This would also include police, fire departments, hospitals, etc.

5. It calls for an end to the public being allowed to vote for Senators.

6. It calls for the seizure of all federal lands and to eliminate all restrictions on development on these and state owned lands.
