It's theoretically possible that EVs will result in reduced demand for refined petroleum and therefore higher prices. But only if you understand supply and demand, which is definitely not something I would confuse with "Biden caused inflation" MAGAs.
According to a famous tik toker that works in the oil industry, the way our refining process works, Diesel and gasoline are produced at the same time, so one of the reasons on why gasoline has stayed relatively cheap is because demand for diesel has remained constant, so to keep up with demand, refineries have to produce more gasoline than the market demands. If he is right, that means that as long as EV trucks don't become a thing, the more EVs that are bought, the less demand for gasoline and the cheaper the price.
Just a reminder folks.. Every time Republicans claim Democrats are committing an offense, it is just projection. Alabama GOP chair and current RNC vice-chair, John Wahl, has voted at least twice with an ID that violates Alabama Voter ID law. Wahl has, reportedly, admitted that he made the ID himself and that he used it to vote. A poll worker attempted to stop him from voting one time, but rather than address the issue, the poll worker was removed and he voted. It has also been forwarded to the State's AG by the Secretary of State twice, but so far, no action has been taken by the AG. https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1800880493313016117.html
I fully expect Garland to appoint an independent prosecutor to evaluate this contempt charge and determine whether he should be held in criminal contempt. And remaining consistent..I believe the scoreboard requires a right wing hack. I look forward to Garland’s indictment, trial and, if a jury of his peers so determines, conviction. Statement from Merrick Garland“It is deeply disappointing that this House of Representatives has turned a serious congressional authority into a partisan weapon. The cult is a menace: To be clear, the guy telling the FBI agent “we’re going to slaughter your whole fucking family, you fucking pedophile” isn’t a Democrat angry that Biden has been convicted of crimes; he believes the standard right-wing conspiracy that the bureau “covered up” *other* Biden crimes” https://t.co/USwWJCowbV— Matthew Gertz (@MattGertz) June 13, 2024

Cant even laugh at those clowns anymore.... “A proposed bill from a House Republican would rename coastal waters around the U.S. after former president Donald Trump, whose administration rolled back dozens of environmental rules while he was in office,” The Independent reports.
