I remember the actor, Steve Pasquale (dumb guy from Rescue Me), once of the first to post when Biden won. "Humble beginnings, small town kid, no Ivy League degree, and go show the world the best we got and become one of the best ever."

Seems as if all the Russian loving GOP have been investigating Joe for crimming. They couldn’t even find a Jay walking or parking ticket for their impeachment dreams.

    No?
Well, just go lie down over there somewhere. Nah, don't try to talk- just let me help you to this couch. I'll sit right here beside you for the next two or three hours while you... rest. Well.

I would pick some time in December. December 7 would be both ironic and terrible.

That was not how I expected it to end.

Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA Cuckoostan) said that Sen. John Fetterman’s (D-PA) choice of “worker’s clothes” prove he’s a communist who is “demonstrating his allegiance to Marxist principles.”

Besides being a completely fvcking moron, Rand Paul is playing this to type: the MAGA response to anything -- especially a policy proposal -- is to make it appear mandatory.

I am not surprised in the least that his neighbor beat his ass.

Not necessarily appear mandatory in this case, but take it to the extreme without reason. because Fetterman wore something that is out of norm in the Halls of Congress, Paul took it to the extreme and wore something (and didn't wear something in the case of shoes) that is out of the norm in public in general.

Basically, if Democrats don't adhere to tradition but still dress as is considered appropriate in society, then Republicans will just take a wrecking ball to the entire social norm. They govern with the same mentality.

The shutdown fiasco shows something that has been pretty clear since the unconstitutional efforts of the tea party to blackmail Obama over O'care despite the GOP not actually winning enough elections to pass any legislation in relation to O'care.

The soft conventions are what make government work. If you only control the house, obviously you have the weaker bargaining position and need to concede a lot. But parts of the MAGA caucus have no intention of passing anything.

Normally the party imposes discipline to stop this, but the GOP is a failed party which has gone semi-fascist

That's where you start to head into failed state territory.

This is from an official statement from Paul Gosar

"But even after approval was given, General Milley, the homosexual-promoting-BLM-activist Chairman of the military joint chiefs, delayed. Of course, we now know that the deviant Milley was coordinating with Nancy Pelosi to hurt President Trump, and treasonously working behind Trump’s back. In a better society, quislings like the strange sodomy-promoting General Milley would be hung."

First of all, people are hanged. Pictures are hung.

Second of all, remember that this guy and about a dozen people as crazy as him (the rest of the House Freedom Caucus is less crazy than this) control whether or not the House passes any legislation because McCarthy won't pass something with 215 Dem votes and 100 GOP votes. He has to have almost complete unanimity within his caucus, so he has to win over most of the truly insane House members.

    Representative Paul Gosar (house.gov)

I wonder who wrote that. I can't believe it was actually Gosar, since he's so monumentally ignorant that there's no chance whatsoever that "quisling" is part of his vocabulary.

Technically Russia is no longer Communist, but since it has a KGB guy in charge and effectively operates the same, as a corrupt vicious oligarchy, I'm going defend your use of that adjective.

To put it another way, Higgins likes Russia becuase it resembles the former Soviet Union. That, as they say, is a feature rather than a bug.
