We got the receipts, Chrissy Boy “Too many Republicans chose power and riding with Donald Trump as opposed to patriotism and America.” @RolandSMartin v @GovChristie on ABC’s #ThisWeek pic.twitter.com/lfOQilwwQH— Brent Baker 🇺🇦 🇮🇱 (@BrentHBaker) September 12, 2021
It might work in 2022… Between banning abortion and trying to make everyone die of covid it seems possible that Republicans have pissed people off https://t.co/ngs7l1aAwo— Jamison Foser (@jamisonfoser) September 15, 2021
Nazi Ed: Mike Pence called a former vice-president to get advice on whether he could help Trump overturn a free election. Yes, please tell me all about patriotic education. pic.twitter.com/1E0mMwqOL0— Kevin M. Levin--Historian, Teacher, Public Speaker (@KevinLevin) September 15, 2021
And looky here in NJ. Gov. Murphy is running a "ladies - your rights will be taken away if you vote for the Republican" ad complete with the pic of Gov. Abbott's signing ceremony of the abortion bounty bill. I assume most Dems will pound this.
I guess running adds saying "Don't vote for the anti-democracy, anti-science, anti-woman, anti-minorities party" should move plenty of independent centrists.... Or they could do their own research...
California got the message: NO GQP!!! Recall ballot are still being counted, but among the replacement candidates "None of you guys" is just running away with it:https://t.co/T9R3hVl9oq pic.twitter.com/lIqisaOfMv— Ben Christopher (@FromBenC) September 16, 2021
That is not how I would interpret the results. More like those who voted no felt no need to select a backup and hoped enough others felt the same. Worked this time while the opposite strategy didn't last.
That’s what Newsom asked them to do. Vote “No” and select no alternative. IIRC, if by any chance the recall got 51% of the vote, the candidate with most votes would become governor, unless the blank got the most.
Insert any GQP governor: "If Mississippi were its own country, you would be second in the world only to Peru in terms of deaths per capita... With all due respect, governor, your way is failing." This is going to be fun: “Former president Donald Trump is working behind the scenes, trying to recruit a Republican senator to challenge Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) for his leadership position in the party.” https://t.co/N01vWjr48C— The Lincoln Project (@ProjectLincoln) September 20, 2021
You can swing a dead varmint in KY & hit a Trump-loving candidate. Now they'll have no idea what they're getting into taking on Mitch. But imagine if KY has a good Dem candidate for senate.
The last Dem opponent was Amy McGrath and she was trounced by 20 points. She's aiming for Congressman Andy Barr's seat, so no idea who is going to challenge McTurtle. Andy Barr is a Trumper and is known for inviting AOC to Kentucky a few years ago to some coal mines, then rescinding when AOC accepted. This must have been around the time the Green New Deal was floated, given the context. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/co...o-cortez-swipes-back-after-republican-n995501 Mitch can have a dogfight on his hands if Trump wants to run someone in the Republican primary. Or Trump can endorse someone to run to the right of McConnell, hopefully splitting the vote. And I, for one, can't wait. Please let there be an ambitious idiot waiting to take McTurtle on for 2022.
Everything they accuse the dems of doing is projection: Doug Wead was indicted today for funneling Russian money to the RNC: https://t.co/6dUh33JNrS— Scott Stedman (indefinite hiatus) (@ScottMStedman) September 20, 2021
I understood this to mean, not someone to primary him, but rather someone to challenge him for minority leader...
Go East!!! That's right. And guess who is in Budapest for Orbán's demographic summit, telling the world he hopes abortion will soon be illegal in the US? Mike Pence.
