Who is under discussion? The Times article is paywalled to me and no one has mentioned his name or his district...

Are Ye and Fuentes part of the GQP or just an unlicensed branch?

Sounds like he was having a few hard shots and on the rocks instead of working in the first place.

Edit: Jay Jacobs is the worst state Dem chair east of the Mississippi, North of the Mason Dixon.

You think that guy was bad. How about this one. This is a new Republican Congressman… and this is a partial list of his “none achievements. :)

Incoming Republican congressman George Santos under scrutiny for resume discrepancies

“Santos’ biography has at times listed an education at Baruch College and New York University, earning degrees in finance and economics. A NYU spokesperson, John Beckman, told CNN, “the University’s records do not reflect anyone with that name [George Anthony Devolder-Santos] having attended NYU.” A spokesperson for Baruch College told CNN it could not find a record of anyone with his name or birthday ever attending the school.

On a biography of Santos on the National Republican Congressional Committee website, he claimed he received degrees from New York University and Barcuch College. CNN found that Santos specified in at least two separate interviews in the fall of 2020 that he received an MBA from NYU, adding in one interviewthat he had “zero debt” from his undergraduate and graduate studies. A review of his campaign websites, however, does not show references to a master’s degree.

Santos’ campaign biography also included mention of experience at financial firms Citigroup and Goldman Sachs, but both told CNN they had no record of his employment.

this list goes on and on as he goes to serve in Congress.

The NYT wrote an article the theme of which is, if the Dems release Trump's tax returns, the GOPs will retaliate.

I'm like, your job, at the NYT is to use your work week to explain politics to those of us who care about politics and have jobs. That article is anti-journalism, in that you know less after reading the article (if you believe it) than you knew before.

Most major Dems release theirs and likely put them on their websites. So release what's already out there I guess.

So House Rs will kiss Zelensky's ass when he's in town, take some nice pics then turn around next year and cut Ukrainian aid, right? This is their game.

I wouldn't confuse the most extreme House Republicans with the majority of them.. That's not to say they would never do what you said, but a majority of the party does support Ukraine. Now, of course, McCarthy is not in a position where he can entirely refuse to acknowledge the whims of the most extreme wing, but I don't expect there to be a complete cut to the Ukraine aid.

Well, the ideas there (except the border wall) are not so looney and probably part of the solution, but the real problem is that they will sabotage the passage of any meaningful legislation conducting to solve the underlying issues in our immigration boondoggle, and then point to the wall and to Biden for not visiting the border.

About this Santos guy…the GOPs kinda sorta have to stick with him because if he resigns, the Dem probably won’t get caught with his pants down again, and will win. And their margin is too small to lose that seat.

So they’re going to have to spend 2 years hiding this guy from scrutiny.

State Dem organization likely blew it on LI. The NYC "crime wave" (at least the perception of one out in the LI burbs) and Zeldin doing better than expected certainly contributed. But the game plan wasn't really there.

So, just to make it clear….
Biden (D) plagiarizing speeches, lying about his education/degrees and lying in general and often about what he’s done and where he’s been… is just Joe being Joe

but this fresh faced and eager Santos (R) guy doing similar things is a no no?

oh, I see where I went wrong
There’s an (R) after the Santos name… now it’s all clear… never mind

    shamelessness?!

you have no idea, do you?

are you this dim on purpose, or is it just that around here no one will call you out on your delusions… ‘cause they all share them

That's the joke. They have sabotaged every meaningful solution for decades, other than more punitive measures and ecosystem-destroying walls.

*nudgenudge* Biden was punished for his lies in 87 when he was forced to bring his campaign to an end before the first primary because of his lies. When are Republicans going to start punishing their members for lies and various other offenses?
