Why can’t they come up with better stories? Big strong UPS guy, really macho, macho guy, came running up and said he never ever cries, oh, please sign here, he never cries but he has cried so strongly and so muchly over the Stolen Election which was definitely Stolen because of Reasons and he was so so so sad. True story! https://t.co/2m7Z9SP8E0— Kevin M. Kruse (@KevinMKruse) December 14, 2022
Because they spend their time passing around stories with their semi-literate friends so they have low standards.
It is so obvious these people thirst for attention. Faulty parenting deprived them of self-esteem. If only a teacher or a love interest could have fixed them in high school.
The party of German National Socialism… Trump’s former Ambassador to Germany Grenell says he is “extremely skeptical” of the arrests of 25 members of a right wing terrorist group in Germany, equating it to J6 where the govt was just targeting people with “dissenting voices who didn’t like the direction of the govt.” pic.twitter.com/JHbddHEENY— Ron Filipkowski (@RonFilipkowski) December 7, 2022

The lamest whitiest party ever… This has gotta be one of the saddest f*king things I’ve ever seen. It’s the party you accidentally wandered into in college & faked appendicitis to escape pic.twitter.com/MDKLo1hJuU— Cliff Schecter (@cliffschecter) December 14, 2022
F.U.Q. Some House Republicans are carrying around these “O.K.” pins — standing for “Only Kevin” — to back McCarthy for Speaker and counter the “Never Kevin” caucus on the right. pic.twitter.com/Cfs8XGn9Ts— Sahil Kapur (@sahilkapur) December 15, 2022

How it started/ how it’s going: Republican Congressmen-elect George Santos to Log Cabin Republicans at Mar-a-Lago: “We’ve shattered the glass ceiling, and we’ve shown the radical left that there are gay conservatives who actually stand for freedom.” pic.twitter.com/RoPG752TVk— PatriotTakes 🇺🇸 (@patriottakes) December 16, 2022 Kari Lake: “Whoever thought it was a good idea to invite 500 gay people into a lavish mansion, 2 pools, and a lot of booze? I think we’re going to need the Secret Service tonight.…I know there’s people in this room who would love to be tackled and frisked by the Secret Service.” pic.twitter.com/39XIAmijJE— PatriotTakes 🇺🇸 (@patriottakes) December 17, 2022
The party of freedom!!!! Mike Lee (R) has just introduced a bill that would fine or imprison any American who posts any “sexual content” on the internet. https://t.co/I5ib9wTupb— No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen (@NoLieWithBTC) December 18, 2022
https://nypost.com/2022/12/16/rep-m...-sue-claiming-almost-200k-in-unpaid-fees/amp/ Madison Cawthorn is being sued by his lawyers for unpaid fees. I wonder what he thinks his next chapter is going to be? I mean, he has no future in electoral politics...he abandoned his constituents as soon as he lost, just flat out stopped doing the job. He used the job to hire his friends and to buy swag. He is 100% a user, and everyone knows that know.
The most amazing thing about his downfall was that it wasn't for lack of morals or ethics or anything like that he just opened his mouth about the Coke and blow get togethers and that was it. He was excommunicated.
The party of civilized discourse: Kari Lake makes an obscene gesture to the media for being mean to Trump. pic.twitter.com/rrVNXQAdQc— Ron Filipkowski (@RonFilipkowski) December 19, 2022
NYT investigates first openly gay non-incumbent Republican to be voted into office and finds that nothing in his resume checks out. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/19/nyregion/george-santos-ny-republicans.html He claims to have gotten degrees from Baruch College and attended NYU, but neither has records of him attending. He claims to have worked for Goldman-Sachs and CitiGroup as an associate asset manager, but neither have record of him working for them. He claims to have run a pet charity for 5 years, but there is no record of the charity actually existing. The person living at the address he said he lived at when he filed his paperwork to run for office has never heard of him.
I would imagine it was for the same reason Dems did poorly in NY in general.. A poorly run and complacent state party that failed to properly fund campaigns.
Talkingpointsmemo had an article about the guy today. The gist of the article was that early in the campaign the guy made a ridiculous comment or tweet or whatever about how much he was spending on gas each week. So TPM looked at his work address and home address and told its readers he was obviously telling an enormous lie. In that article from months ago, they wrote a little about his very sketchy background. But they didn't pursue it more because it was basically a local story. But I'll bet the oppo research person for his opponent had a few hard, difficult phone calls today.
if you want more detail According to his tweet about gas prices, #ny3 congressional candidate George Santos drives over 1,000 miles a week on his 15 miles to work daily commute. https://t.co/2qzrtVQHUb via @TPM— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) December 13, 2021
