Common Ground in Allston is showing all the EPL PPV live. No cover. Very easy from BC...Green B Line to Harvard Ave. Block and a half down on the left hand side. They also have FSW and always have at least 1 TV on that station....
Very easy from BC...Green B Line to Harvard Ave. Block and a half down on the left hand side. * Just ammending this, but when you get off of the Green B Line at Harvard Ave. & Comm. Ave., take a left and keep walking straight until you come to the intersection of Harvard Ave. & Brighton Ave. Common Ground will be just past the intersection at 8387 Harvard Ave. Also, The Irish Embassy continues to show games, and to the best of my knowledge they don't charge cover either (at least not the past three times I've been there.) They also make a good artery-clogging Irish Breakfast for about $7.50. The Embassy's located one block from the Fleet Center at 234 Friend Street. It's easily accessible from the Green Line stop at North Station. Their website can be found here: http://www.celticweb.com/embassy/ Roggie's in Cleveland Circle also shows matches, and that's practically walking distance from B.C. Their website can be found here: http://www.roggies.com/events.htm That being said, Common Ground would be the best bet in terms of cost/location. They're a soccer-friendly place. The Magpie
Just an FYI, Roggies is currently closed for renovations but is slated to repen sometime in the near future. - Jon
I dont' even know why I said pub. Whatever, any bars. The holy cross joke was funny. Anyway, thank you very much.
Hi guys, newbie here. I've just moved over from England to Worcester. Any pubs in the Boston / MA area that are showing the England v Portugal game? (It's not on Setanta, it's on some other PPV service). Thanks
Yeah, but around here people call it "Wistah." Only drooling, slack-jawed corn-fed Columbus Crew fans and other Midwesterners call it War-chester. Tom
I think you can Pay Per View it for like 20 bucks if you wanted to watch it at home. I'll be going to Bad Abbotts in Quincy tomorrow to watch Ireland play, myself.
Unfortunately my part of Worcester doesn't have DirecTV... And I called Bad Abbots and they only have the Ireland game
Directv is one of those mini satellite dishes. EchoStar is the other service. If you want to watch European football, you will need one of those two.

Cornwall's on Boylston St. - Green line to Hynes/ICA and then walk down Boylston right near The Pour House/Trader Joe's etc. play A LOT OF EPL games among others. and Phoenix Landing in Cambridge. Central Stop on the Red Line. Also Our House in Allston - Griggs St / Long Ave on the B Line. (right before the Harvard Ave stop that you take for Common Ground if your coming from BC)
I would certainly check with The Phoenix Landing in Central Square: I've been there for a few England matches where the place has been absolutely packed, including Euro 2004. Their phone is (617) 576-6260, so give 'em a call.
Especially if you're a Liverpool fan. Place is packed for every liverpool game. In Brighton Center, the Green Briar is a great place to catch a game.
For what it's worth, I was at the Dogwood, across from the Forest Hills Station, and they had the Fox Soccer Channel on. I was a bit surprised that it was on but, I doubt they will turn into a soccer pub.
