Consider yourself warned. Vote for Kerry or your community may go up in flames.

EDWARDS WIFE: NO RIOTS IF WE WIN

The wife of Dem vice presidential hopeful John Edwards said on Sunday there will be no riots around the election -- if Kerry/Edwards wins!

C-SPAN cameras captured spouse Elizabeth Edwards making the startling comments to a supporter during a Kerry Campaign Town Hall Meeting in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Supporter: Kerry's going to take PA.

    Liz Edwards: I know that.

Supporter: I'm just worried there's going to be riots afterwards.

Liz Edwards: Uh.....well...not if we win.

You do realize, Ian, that after 2000, people are going to go all Howard Beale if they feel the election was stolen. That goes for both parties. Granted, Elizabeth does seem to have absorbed Teresa's foot-in-mouth disease recently.

Seriously, what's the point of having these riots? It goes against their whole anti-war thing. Having a peaceful protest, like those of MLKJR, are good and positive. But to go around and riot the streets of big cities, forcing cops to spend time there rather then elsewhere, is pointless. It will only look bad for that political party.

As someone who has been in the sh!+, I can tell you it is fun. If a bit tearful. Tip - pulling your t-shirt up over your face isn't very effective. You should really have a 2nd (wet) t-shirt to tie around your face to cover your nose and mouth.

Chesco United... it seems that way huh? However, to be fair, I am sure Heinz-Kerry will make one more stupid comment and outdo Elizabeth; Las Vegas odds have it at 50-1! The Kerry twins last evening on CNN with Larry seem to be in the running for 'most absurd' category; particularly their disingenous statements on their dad's "changing" political opinions! " As the Larry interview illustrated, 'a box of rocks' use to be a synonym for stupidity, but I think we have new recipients for this honor!

If Kerry wins, I personally will dance and party in the street.

    And I won't be alone. :)

According to my co-worker (the one who thought the 9/11 hijackers were all Iraqis) is married to an Arlington County police officer.

Yesterday she said that he was assigned to Bush headquarters because there had been attacks and "rioting." Not sure I'd heard her right I said "Rioting?!" She just shrugged and looked a little sheepish because she knew she'd lied her pants off.

    Kerry's pro-Ohio State, and anti-riot? What a great man!

everyone seems to forget that gore filed the lawsuit to try and overturn the florida results.........lost....... the results stood .....and then gore claimed that bush stole the election that he couldn't steal

the GOP won't riot if they lose, they will just fire everyone and offshore their company and wait four years

The case in question, pumpkin, is called Bush v. Gore. Quick quiz - who is listed first, the plaintiff, or the defendant?

Gore was only trying to get FL law enforced. It says that if there is a margin of +/- .5% there is a recount. The results stood because the SCOTUS came up with a bull$hit excuse to interven in the recount.

True test if it's Mozilla or not:

If he acknowledges he was wrong, it ain't Mozilla. Or Ian. But Ian hath no reason to hide. Mozilla, on the other hand, got sharply rebuked by this community.

Notice the timing of his posts. About the same time frame as Mozilla.

The sad thing here is the fact that some young lady who was in the wrong place at the wrong time was killed by Boston Police after the Boston victory over NY riot.

If Bush tries to steal this election again there will be marching in the streets and some ******** will burn.

One time is tolerable but twice will make people snap. I am not advocating violence I am just predicting here.

And don't try to quote some court ruling from 2000 to prove Bush didn't steal the election. What matters on this subject is what is in people's guts and 40-50% of this country feel beyond a shadow of a doubt that Bush did not win fair and square.
