Umm...not exactly According to the Bastia web site Mendy is due for "un repos de dix jours" which is a ten day rest, not ten weeks. But I am new here. Are we saying it is ten weeks because Vanney is a dog?
L'Equipe had it originally as weeks--looking at it now, it's days. Still, Vanney may get a start this weekend in his absence.
Anyone else feel just slightly bad for Greg? He leaves LA sans championship, goes to play in France for a team that averages less of a home crowd than the Galaxy did, and now won't be around for an even better stadium and atmosphere that LA's gonna have as MLS Champs. Sure, he's making more dough, though, which goes a long way with the French chicks. I'm sure it's a trade-off.
Yeah, getting paid to play football (first team or not) on Corsica. Side trips to Monaco, Paris, Lens, Marsaille... Ugh. Just a small step away from suicide. Bet he wished he stayed a few months tho.
I would feel worse for him if he was an excellent player sitting on the bench- but he isn't. He is an average MLS defender, a bit slow, who has a big shot. I would have been most surprised if he was a big hit over there.
