Sasha and Danny Yah, I think Sasha did a really good job. His goal was really nice. Danny also did a good job too.
They both did well, Sasha especially. Nice clinical nutmeg on the keeper for the goal. I would have never thought of Sasha at right back, plus doing well. Of course, that's why I'm here and Arena is, well, Arena!
Not to take anything away from Sasha, but I thought El Salvador looked pretty weak and did not present too much of a challenge, however, that was great timing for his run and goal.
If you look at the boards discussing this in USA Mens, I think we created a monster. Everyone is ripping Danny for his performance, but the guy played a pretty solid game. He is so improved over even 6 months ago, it's scary. Yet, we've ripped the snot outta him for so long, people believe that's who he is now. I accept some of the blame, because I thoguth Danny belonged in the A-League until midway through the MLS season. Now, I have seen the light, and Danny has a world class future.
Thought Danny played a solid if not completely impressive match in difficult conditions. However, Sasha seemed to step up a notch and played one of his best matches in a while. BTW, didn't he score his first MLS goal at RFK as well?
was ok Nice 5 hole shot for Sasha !! But on the whole the US Team played like S_H_I_T. Califf needs a real test, how about some road games. We know Danny has Assasin like tendencies when the road crowd is at a ferver pitch.
