Aside from Sex and Candy, the rest of that album was actually really good. I've noticed that about a few different bands/performers. The song they released wasn't nearly as good as the rest of the album. Ben Folds Five, Joan Osborn are other good examples. JMac
yes they are, yank. They reach a level of futility and all-out suckiness rarely reached by anyone. Really.
That was by Marcys Playground, and that song sucked some serious balls. If it was called Rex and Dandy it would have NEVER made it on the radio. Good Charlotte has two songs I like, Motivate Me and Little Things. Haven't heard much else from them.
Like Stogey said, that was Marcy's Playground, but I agree with you. That cd was actually quite good, surprisingly.
One of the 657357 bands who can't decide if they're pop-punk, metal, or alt-rock that have popped up recently. 657100 of these bands will be gone in 3 years.
I honestly thought this was about Charlotte Church, and her parents banning her from aving a boyfriend.
Good Charlotte is definitley pop-punk. I don't think they'd deny that or have any confusion what they are. Good charlotte is a decent band, I'd rate them with FenixTX and Eve 6. Nothing special but still sounds good to listen to. They've got a song on the radio down here called "Life of the rich and famous" That's a pretty good song. It's very catchy. I don't think 13 yr old girls have quite caught on to them yet, they haven't done a nude video of them running through streets. God forbid that happens too.
Yes they have...at Warped their set was mobbed by teen girls who've outgrown their Britany and Christina cd's, and have decied that they are now GS and New Found Glory fans. NFG even sells a "New Found Girly" babydoll shirt at their stands. I actually think it's cool...I'd rather see these gurls get into pop-punk than segue into Celine/Whitney fans.
No way! I didn't think Good Charlotte had caught on to that audience yet. I figured all these chicks still had crushes on NFG and Blink. Although I do agree with you, it's better to see these girls becoming fans of pop punk then those "I have a voice but no brain" pop idols America is now into. Shoot, a lot of these girls are pretty hot too..."I'll show you a pop-punk honey!"
I'm gonna retract this statement in shame. I heard a Good Charlotte song today and I enjoyed it very much. What does that make me? A hypocrite? shame, shame BTW, the song's "little things"
Good to see Nancy bustin a shout out to all her peeps. That's hilarious. Going straight to signature. Anyway, for you Good Charlotte fans (or fans of 13 year old girls who are now prevented from hanging at your usual grammar school haunts because you keep running into all of your old priests there), they are playing at the vanderbilt on Strong Island November 3rd. Sadly, my justin timberlake looking @ss won't be there, but do enjoy. see http://www.vanderbiltevents.com/ about halfway down.
This is one of thier worst songs. In fact, the band sucks except for a couple of songs off their last album.
