http://www.soccer365.com/US_NEWS/Breaking_News/page_131_62173.shtml I hope his play opens the door in Belgium for a few more players. (I didn't forget about Yi, but Gooch is doing the big biz)
Article doesn't answer: Why he left Metz months after signing to take a test at Clemson. Why he gained all the weight. Why he moved from outside back to centerback. I don't think well ever get an answer to the first and I uspect the second two are related. I'd like to know what motivated him to make the switch in position. Was it something he wanted or did the club twist his arm?
Why do you see Yi's and Onyewu's situations as being different? Onyewu's club is currently somewhat higher in the table (La Louviere currently in 8th, and Royal Antwerp in 14th). And Onyewu was getting starts earlier, but they are both getting regular first team starts now. But these distinctions don't seem like much to me. Personally, I think Onyewu has more potential, but career-wise I don't see much between them right now. They go head-to-head this weekend, so that should be fun.
Re: Re: Gooch story I guess I missed the Yi threads mentioning the action he was getting. Plus I think like you do, Gooch has more potential.
Because the first two aren't news worthy and the third could have a variety of reasons, but it doesn't really matter. The point is that he's getting great PT.
