according to RAAL official site and garbled by babelfish:

One found liquid in the knee of Oguchi Onyewu. The doctors suspectent a lesion méniscale. The American will pass a magnetic resonance Wednesday.

Again according to the official website through babelfish:
Echography that Oguchi Onyewu passed yesterday revealed a microtraumatism with the side ligament of the knee. American is satisfied with care and individual race and is very dubious for the match of this Saturday.

    well that's not good news.

hopefully nothing super serious, but knee problems always scare me.

Side ligament isn't too bad. Maybe MCL? Rest and training should take care of it. It looks like the doctors originally thought it might be something to do with the meniscus?

meniscus is not a big deal.I have had most of mine removed.I was running in 3 weeks, competing in 6 weeks.

I second Bruce S. about the meniscus. I had both my left and right removed and it was nothing. It took maybe 4 weeks to recover and additional two solid weeks of conditioning to get back into playing shape. If that's the problem for Gooch it shouldn't phase him at all. Unless he pulls a Karl Malone and blames RAAL for mistreating him.
