Yes, this year Drogba is a top notch striker, but the previous 2 seasons (when Chelsea won titles) he was not. Both of Chelsea's championships came without having a great striker in the team. Every team would love to have a striker that scores 25 goals, but there is no exact formula for winning the title.
Very good point. Although I think this has to do more about lack of mental speed rather than running around like crazy. The best example of mental speed is Riquelme who always seems to be walking around the pitch like a sunday walk in the park, give him the ball and in a sec the ball is in another players feet. Now that you mention it though, that seems to be a common problem in English football in general. England in the last WC han a great team but they took ages to build any attack.
One either has it or one doesn't -- it can be improved by stressing speed of play and one touch in regular training sessions.
cunning my balls its called using your brain, close ball control and speed helps. too many players run to the line to get a cross in hoping someone will be there, for us thats crouch, nuff said.
So I assume you are implying that since CCSC resides in the United States that he's not entitled to an opinion, even though he's clearly intelligent about "football" and can write felicitously in English. If he was monosyllabic in his language and pre-historic in his thinking you'd respect him more but only if he lived in England. I simply wonder why you support, or claim to support, Liverpool. You are aggressively pessimistic about the club, its financial dealings, its players, its manager and its board. I struggle to remember a single positive thing you have had to say about Liverpool. Now you may retort that you've been a supporter for years and you are entitled to be negative about the current crowd but what troubles me is how little of the positive, joyous spirit of Liverpool the City and Liverpool the Football Club you have absorbed. And on these threads you consistently divert or lower the standards of the dialogue.
Your right Gandalf, I mean you have to get one thing right once in a while. I guess that makes me and everyone else that hasn't been able to make the journey to Anfield less of a supporter than you. Wait thats not right at all....******** off!
So since it's your game, you're more qualified to examine it? I see that worked out really well for your English comprehension skils. I can only imagine how pathetic your football skills are.
