The article must have been cut off, didn't see the apology to C.J. Brown.

Gomez needs to be featured in the next Gatorade commercial.
I'm thinking a montage of him running, sweating, spitting, crying and battling the resulting dehydration with Gatorade.

Yeah, I noticed that he failed to apologize to Chicago or CJ. I hope the league levies a nice fine on him and suspends his ass for the first 3-5 games next season. The league needs to be very harsh on this kind of behaviour.

Oh, and mentioning a montage makes me think of Team America: World Police... :D

You take a dive, you don't get the call, you spit in a man's face, he shows restraint and instead of kicking your ass he extends his hand...you owe that man an apology.

BTW, CJ's response should be shown to every rookie in camp next year. Your options are retaliating, getting ejected from the game, getting suspended from the next game, injuring yourself or team mate in the melee that follows, and getting fined by team and league, or you can smile and extend your hand in friendship...the choice is yours.

Okay, so CJ had a big chit-eating grin on his face. :D

Just shows what kind of jackass Gomez really is...I would
expect the league to take further action on this matter.
If not, it opens the door for future ungentlemanly conduct
and that's a dangerous precedent to set.

if my memory serves me well, the common-tators said on the replay of CJ smiling, "i got u". :)

  8. I think the optimist in me really hopes that Gomez has privately apologized for CJ, but the realist in me says that he is just trying to save his image in the press.

If he is legit, and has or will apologize to CJ good for him. I think it's good for these guys to own up to their own stupidity.

If this is all the remorse he has shown in public or private, than it's meaningless.

Clearly missing from Gomez' apology were both CJ and the Fire.

    Screw the little wimp.

I think you mean Translation: please only suspend me three games to start next season, not five games.
