Now that the Confed Cup is over, we can turn our attention to the Gold Cup. The games start July 12, and are listed on the US Soccer Schedule Page.

    Here are the three groups:

    Costa Rica, Canada, Cuba
    USA, El Salvador, Martinique
    Mexico, Brazil, Honduras (ouch!)

Now, it's not clear which is group A, B, and C. If anybody can post this, that would be helpful.

Univision or Galavision will be broadcasting the games. It does not appear that either of the USA's first round games will be on TV. Go to www.soccertv.com for more details.

If anybody is going to be in Foxboro for the USA/El Salvador match, come on over early to do some tailgating with us!

    ... Mod's Note ...

Confederation level tournaments are generally handled on the confederation boards - in this case CONCACAF. I'll go ahead and move this thread over there. Indeed, they've already got a Gold Cup board going.

Please check the FIFA and Tournament board FAQ or PM if you have any questions.

what kind of money prize is for a team to make the 2nd round?

How much do they get per game, each individual federation?

If it's anything to go by, Canada got $1 Million for the 2000 win.

For a printable schedule and information on the rosters of all the teams invovled go here:

    http://www.concacaf.com/news/article.page/1507

Amazingly, the Concacaf homepage actually has some relevant information at the site!

Brazil's roster looks mouth watering, I see many young rising stars such as Robinho and Diego from Santos.
