This is going to be the most expnsive Gold Cup match I have been to, that wasn't the final. Just went online to check.. Supporter section tickets are $46.20. Including all the ticketbastard fees. Remember.. this is NOT a US Soccer event. CONCACAF runs the show. As usual, Miami appears to not be using ticketmaster.
ya the prices suck. Even getting them through American Outlaws. Not gonna stop me from being there though!
If these are the ticket prices,I think that attendance is going to suffer. http://www.ticketcity.com/soccer-ti...ickets-raymond-james-stadium-june-11-tba.html http://www.horizontickets.com/sport/tickets-concacaf-gold-cup/june-11-2011-1183538.php
Almost $300 dollars per seat, for Center Circle seats. Concacaf is shooting themselves in the foot. http://stadiumboxoffice.org/Results...d+Cup+Soccer&ppcsrc=6004061282&eid=SP3&egid=B
Those can't be right, man. That isn't what I'm seeing on ticket master at all. At least according to the pre-sale pricing on ticket master tickets aren't more than $100 for the lower bowl. Ranging from $30 to $100. Not sure what sites those are you are looking at , but Im guessing they are way wrong.
Damn...I feel a whole lot better now. I didn't realize that those were ticket scalpers. I was thinking that there were going to be 5k people at the game with those prices. Anyway,I can't wait for the games.
nah, if the weather cooperates I'd expect a really nice crowd for this game. If we can pull between 22 and 33k (weather dependent) for meaningless C team friendlies against similar opposition, I'd expect 40+ minimum for a Gold Cup game with our stars present. Might get really lucky and see a huge crowd, that'd be awesome and really set us up for potential World Cup qualifiers down the road. At least I'd hope
I'm guessing that we'll draw in the high 20's at least. If we drew 22K for the friendly against El Salvador in the rain and temperatures in the low 50's,we should draw a decent crowd.
That's right,if we have a good crowd for the Panama game, the USSF would have to consider us for a World Cup qualifier.
I'll be making the trip over from Orlando, very excited! On ticketmaster you can use the code "USAFAN" to get presale tickets and $5 off each seat, helps at least a bit with the fees and everything.
I sincerely hope we do much better than this. We pulled 33k for a friendly vs Ecuador with some of our stars present. We'd have pulled at least a few more thousand for the El Salvador game if the weather hadn't been aweful, despite it being our C team. Yes there were alot of Ecuador fans, but it was a really solid U.S.A. crowd. Plus I'd imagine Panama will draw decently here in Tampa. This is or regional championship and since this year's edition also determines entry into the Confederations Cup, we'll be seeing most if not all of our big name players. Unlike the last Gold Cup when we fielded a mostly C/B team. This is our test and if we don't pull 35-40k I'll be really, really disappointed. I think we will though. American Outlaws and Sam's Army members will be flying in from all over and Tampa always does well with U.S. games. I can't wait!
If we draw 35-40K, that would be awesome. However,I'd still be happy with a crowd in the high 20's. Charles, that friendly against El Salavdor had a great atmosphere with 22K fans at the game. The Olympic Qualifier against Honduras was a blast as well, and if I remmeber corrrectly, the attendance for that game was around 13K. Either way,I can't wait for the games. This is going to be a great summer for soccer. We have FC Tampa Bay starting up,Gold Cup games and AC Milan vs Barcelona down in Miami this August.
Hey everyone, My dad and I will be coming down from Gainesville to support the national team - from the cheap seats in Level 2.
