Found this on the USMNT blog:

CONCACAF has announced the All Tournament Team for the 2007 Gold Cup, and two U.S. players made the Best XI. Frankie Hejduk, who scored the opening goal in the 2-1 semifinal win against Canada, and Pablo Mastroeni were selected by the Technical Study Group. Mastroeni, who arguably could have been named Sierra Mist Man of the Match in the semifinal, has been a dominating presence in the center of the park. Both DaMarcus Beasley and Landon Donovan picked up honorable mentions. The Best XI:

    Goalkeeper: Franck Grandel (GLP)

Defenders: Felipe Baloy (PAN), Richard Hastings (CAN), Frankie Hejduk (USA), Carlos Salcido (MEX)

Midfielders: Walter Centeno (CRC), Julian DeGuzman (CAN), Pablo Mastroeni (USA), Pavel Pardo(MEX),

Forwards: Carlos Pavón (HON),Blas Perez (PAN)

Saw that too, personally i think Bradley was more deserving than Mastroeni, Hejduk made me laugh, but he was class in our biggest game up to this point.

Frankie Hejduk probably deserves the pick. He's had a good tournament, and he's certainly justified his call-up to the Gold Cup squad, despite all the youth obsessed posters on BS.

My All Tournament team would look pretty similar. Here's a stab at it:

    Goalkeeper: Oswaldo Sanchez (MEX)

Defenders: Felipe Baloy (PAN), Carlos Bocanegra (USA), Frankie Hejduk (USA), Carlos Salcido (MEX)

Midfielders: Walter Centeno (CRC), Julian DeGuzman (CAN), DaMarcus Beasley (USA), Pavel Pardo(MEX)

Forwards: Carlos Pavón (HON), Blas Perez (PAN)

Mastroeni's selection looks even more ridiculous after this game.

    Tim Howard?

After today and Panama, he should be on there. Neither goal he gave up he could do anything about...and posted 2 shutouts in the group stage.

Came up huge vs. mexico and panama

Mastroeni was selected, but Donovan wasn't?

    Weird.

wtf is that about -- what an incredibly stupid move by CONCACAF (shocker).

Its silly to even debate the players they announced in light of the fact they did this before the final. Moreover, Landon not being on the list is criminal.

The goalkeeper, Pablo and Frankie are probably the biggest question marks. I guess the guy from Guadalupe did good when facing a firing squad, so he gets some props.

Pablo wasn't really even one the best 11 for the US, let alone the whole tournament.

Do you think Howard was more spectacular than Sanchez today?

A tournament is not just one game...Howard has been better all tournament (2 shutouts, the other 2 non shutouts he had no chance to save either goal, and he had absolutely crucial saves vs. Panama and Mexico)

and yes Howard was equally as good as Sanchez today

So is Jack Warner. He is the reason CONCACAF still is a joke abroad. Please explain to me how a guy linked to corruption and head of a Fed,which it's players are on strike, can run the show? Who did he pay off to come up with that tourney team? No Gaurdado? No Donovan? No Howard? Walter Ceteno had one big goal and make the all cup team.Puuuulease...

Mastroeni and Hejduk were our best players of the tournament? Well, that's news to me. And I thought I'd watched the games.
